music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Throughout my childhood I drifted between instruments and genres. Piano as a child; trombone as a teenager, bass guitar through to uni - all while covering music styles from jazz, funk, disco and progressive rock. However; later in life I realised nothing was as influential as when my Dad purchased of Logic 2 for Mac and a Korg X5 MIDI keyboard in the mid-1990’s - I’d sneak into his “studio” and was fascinated by the idea of being able to play and manipulate the sounds as I please. This was my discovery of my love and passion for electronic music.
Over 20 years later, I’ve spent almost every spare moment refining my passion into a unique and defined sound that takes influence from my past (jazz, funk and progressive rock in particular) and channels it into a unique electronic sound that sits somewhere across the spectrum of disco, deep house, progressive house and melodic house & techno.

For the 41st edition of our Behind LOKD Doors series, we’re happy to share a mix by flieder, a Berlin-based trio blending stripped-down grooves with warm, hypnotic energy. Active since 2021, handsome since ever. 

With releases on Moodfamily and a recent feature on fernab Compilation #2, flieder are no strangers to finely crafted minimal sounds. They've played at Fusion Festival in both 2023 and 2024 — and you can tell they had a good time.

This mix is smooth and grounded, yet always in motion — a subtle journey through deep rhythms and playful details. We’re glad to have them on board for this one.

All four reinterpretations come from artists who are no strangers to the label, making this a true family project that showcases the strength and consistency of 3rd Avenue's roster.

Argentinean talents Nantiel and APNITUS deliver fresh takes on "Dancing Mood," each infusing the track with their own distinct rhythmic and melodic touches, while maintaining the essence of the original. For "Acetalatis," also featuring the evocative vocals of Cami Bragoni, two more returning names step in: Dave Leck, the sole non-Argentinean on the lineup (Australia), provides a deep and atmospheric rework, while Cocet brings his own dynamic energy to round out the collection.

Mosley Jr is a Belgian electronic outlet comprising of Niels Blondeel also known as AMyn and IJsbrand De Wilde, member of the band Stavroz. Their moniker includes 'junior', but that might just as well be 'senior'. Creative solutions, a broad scale of feelings, an occasional moment of pure insanity fused with looming lofi grooves and unique four-to-the-floor goodness.
