I play the violin and viola so that's why I have a bunch of string pieces. I am the most comfortable writing for string instruments.

This is the last piece I composed for academia. I left grad school in music composition before getting the chance to see this piece performed in Boston. This is the recording from the concert.

Take A Look (MOTM cover)

I was trying to cover Beach Fossils' "Adversity" and ended up playing around with two old chords I juxtaposed a long time ago and some lyrics I wrote a few days back. Melody of lyrics & lead guitar were improvised. I guess I'll try to refine it someday, but it was a solid three or four hours enjoying whatever I came up with. Enjoy.

Hi I’m Gabrielle and I majored in music in college.  I composed "new music" pieces for academia,
but have always been "pop" at heart.

Here are some pieces from both worlds. Pop pieces from 2006. Music for academia from 2007-2010. Guitar covers and an original song (Bed of Roses) from 2012. The piece for Sax Quartet (2010) was the last piece I ever composed.
