KnickSet Anthem feat. "The Preacher" J Boogie

This is my first atempt at slicing the Amen Break. Zero processing on the break, it's just sliced and chopped into everything from 16ths down to 64ths and arranged as meticulously as possible for a 1 day project. It was actually spread out over the better part of TWO days which is kind of cheating - my next song will suffer a bit, as I'm sticking to my 3 songs/week goal and this just ate into some of the time allotted to the next song. This song was a really challenging task - I think it's safe to say that there are a solid 6 hours of arranging just the drums. But I'm happy enough with the result!

Deejay Punk Roc - My Beatbox

This tune somehow reminds me of cheesy miami vice music. Sorry if that's not your thing. I'd like to say it's not mine either, but I guess I'd be lying because... well... I made *this*, haha!

Well, what can I say. 

Spectrasonics Trilian and FabFilter ProQ are probably my favourite combination of sonic things in the whole world at this moment. I can't get enough of the *sound* of the bassline in this one, and you'll be able to tell because except for the intro it hardly gets a break!

Anybody who knows stuff about music production will basically be able to see from my soundcloud profile the *day* that I figured out about mastering compression by looking at my uploads on and suddenly seeing the waves on all my songs fattening up, taking up the whole space and basically looking like rectangles almost fully coloured in by an ambitious child. Those people will know that I am *learning* to use mastering compression still because they shouldn't look like that, haha!  This is my worst culprit yet. It's the drums. The main drum track is CRUSHED by compression and I don't care, 'cuz I like the sound. But it would be better if I learned how to do this more selectively. :)
