Ostrolenk speaks with Merete Holm Brantbjerg, psychomotor-trainer and co-creator of Bodynamic Analysis, a somatic psychotherapy tradition developed in Denmark. Brantbjerg speaks about her approach, Relational Trauma Therapy, which combines psychomotor skill training and systems oriented work with the goal of establishing systems in which mutual regulation of what has been held in dissociation can happen. She details how parts of the body go absent and how we can reactivate those parts, including strategies that only allow for short-term access versus long-term, sustainable access.
