EMP 2015 was composed for the ending concert of Estonian Music Days 2015 (club night).

All the sounds are recorded with contact microphone in Tallinn. These recordings are from my everyday spaces and listening them with contact microphones are just like listening the organism of my hometown.. 

Contact With Tallinn

Recorded 07.10.16 at Seaplane Harbour, Tallinn, Estonia. Recorded with two Aquarian Audio H2a-XLR into Sound Devices 702 at 24/96. It was quite stormy weather all though it doesn't sound that rough. Microphones were about 3 meters from each other. One of the microphone was dropped into a small hole in concrete and second one was laying between some rocks.

Sound source is Benjolin- main out to korb dvca envelope generated by mutable instruments peaks (LFO mode) Korb DVCA to Music Thing Spring reverb -> Mutable instruments clouds (granular and random panning)Stereo out to logic. no editing or software processing added.. lot's of tweaking with benjolin and peaks lfo speed and shape.

Finally at my 5th day in the EMS studio in Stockholm I managed to figure out how to make beats, that aren't that predictable. Also I'm finally quite happy with the bass drum sound. All the layers are triggered and sequenced inside Buchla. Some layers go through AKG spring reverb. Harmony is created with on 259 layered with some added pitch shifters in pro tools..

My graduation piece for orchestra and electronics. In many ways I consider it to be a variation form, because it has had many different shapes and forms- electronic, aleatoric, there has been numerous max patches an open score, probabilities and so on. In the end I notated everything in quite classical way.

I'm a sound designer, composer and improviser on a modular synthesizer. Almost everything I do is related to sound. In my compositions I like to use sound objects, field recordings, and modular synths so I could have my own unique sounds. 
 I studied sound design for movies in Baltic Film- and Television School and electroacoustic composition in Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre 
 I'm located in Tallinn, Estonia.
