'Closed For Subsidence' with its damaged melody and throbbing bassline evokes the loneliness and darkness we’ve all experienced at some time over the past year, but you can feel that Jeigo dripped a little hope into the song as well. Wintertime in Vermont, sun is shining on icicles, silence reigns over the forests, these images come to the mind listening to Aspetuck's 'Winterruhe', a slowburner for all the wilderpeople out there. And for last another Hungarian producer in the TIOT family, NetSymmetry who is showing himself for the first time under this alias with an eight-minute hallucinatory vision called 'Gene Oscillations' which immediately melted, bubbled, boiled and filtered us into a petri dish.

Dorisburg's first missive since his debut album, Irrbloss, is the most deadly distillation of his talents yet. Hypnotic basslines ripple out into grand atmospheric journeys, "Venom" for the black of night, "Serum" with a hint of light on the horizon.

Dorisburg journeys further into the night on Venom, his first record of 2017, and it quickly found its way to Kalawila's label Mountain Explosion Device, due to the two artists having a long standing friendship that developed into a joint view of texture and sonic emotion. Having found its home, Venom burrows deep into an underground cavern, bass pulses dripping like stalactites into endless black pools of atmosphere.

You journey for hours and end up in the same place. And then, just when you've resigned yourself to endless night, "Serum" is a glint of sunlight in the dark, a hint of Dorisburg's reserved optimism. You can heal yourself as long as you keep moving.

Phonica White’s first release gets a long-awaited reissue with a previously unreleased Lord Of The Isles remix!

As the first release on Phonica White back in 2009, ‘Galaxy’ by Japan’s Iori is an expertly crafted piece of dance oor-focused Techno, led by a rolling bassline and crisp hi-hats, with hypnotic melody patterns skittering off the surface. As we described it upon release, it’s a trippy but accessible heads-down affair that has the depth and the bite to do damage at peak-time and in the after-hours alike. A decade later, those words still ring true and as it’s now one of the most sought after records on Phonica White it’s the perfect time to revive it - with a twist.

This time we have freshened up the record by swapping original B-side ‘Urge’ with a previously unreleased remix of ‘Galaxy’ from Lord Of The Isles, the producer behind two of Phonica’s best received 12”s on the main label; ‘Year Of The City’ & ‘Greane / Gigha’. Countering the original’s functional sonics, his remix takes the track in a deeper, widescreen direction, swirling the original’s components around immersive pads and piano.

To keep collectors of the first pressing happy as well as to differentiate the two versions, the label artwork is the same Pedro Carvalho de Almeida design yet inverted and slightly tweaked to re ect the new tracklist and catalogue number.
