DJ, producer, songwriter, musician and label boss Omid Nourizadeh, also known as Omid 16B, has forged a unique and prolific career as one of the world’s most talented and respected producers with over 20 years contributing to the scene. Growing up in London, with Persian roots, he’s highly regarded as a pioneer of the tech house movement back in the early nineties, alongside Carl Craig, Craig Richards, Mr C, Steve Bug and Francois K. Omid has released on labels such as Eye Q, Hooj Choons, Stomp/EQ, Yoshitoshi, Ministry Of Sound, Deconstruction, Tsuba and Bedrock, as well as his own labels aLOLa and SexOnWax Recordings. Hi impressive portfolio of music boasts 5 albums, including his hugely acclaimed debut 'Sounds From Another Room’ (1998), 'How To Live 100 Years' (2002), the two-part ‘Like 3 Ears & 1 Eye' (2007), ‘Silenciety’ (2019), and ’SunTzu’ (2020). His collaboration and remixes credits include artists Lana Del Rey, Morel, The Cure, Danny Howells, Steve Lawler , Groove Armada, Depeche Mode, Prince, Deep Dish, and more. Having played at some of the best global festivals including Snowbombing, MTVFestival, SW4, DJmag’s 20th Anniversary show at Space Ibiza, Bestival and the Space Closing party, Omid continues to follow his individual creative path, taking his unique sounds from his London studio to the global stage. Exclusive: Charles Webster - I Wonder Why (Charles Webster's 'Still Wondering' Mix)

Two years after the release of Charles Webster's album Decision Time, which was praised equally by critics and musicians, the British artist delivers three new mixes for one of the album's stand-out tracks I Wonder Why. Besides Atjazz taking on remix duties, and a musical approach from Nowism, Charles himself reworked the track to give it an even darker note accentuating the track's message by going without a continuous bass line and emphasizing on sounds, which perfectly go with the spoken vocals. Webster proves once again that you can create House music without its ordinary features and basically approves what the press already said: "There's almost no House music here, though it still runs as a hidden pulse through the record."

James Bright launches his Life On Earth Recordings imprint in typically sumptuous style, presenting three varied Balearic grooves on the 'Wayfarer EP'. Aiming to provide a soundtrack to a life well- travelled, Life On Earth Recordings is primed to explore the outer reaches of downtempo, electronica, nu-disco and deep house, with a luminous Balearic thread woven deep into its core.  The Mansfield-based artist James Bright, has been in scintillating form, delivering a series of widely adored releases for NuNorthern Soul, Sprechen, Quattro, and Sveva Music. His immaculately-crafted rhythms routinely finding their way into the sets of the most esteemed and cosmically-rooted jocks, while his sound effortlessly floats between and beyond the kaleidoscopic Balearic boundaries.
 
The EP opens with the immersive waves of the title track, where intricate synth layers are carefully intertwined across chords and rolling rhythms, before acid lines and ever-building orchestration rises to a star-gazing climax.  'Hours Were Ours' plays out an enchanting melody, with harmonic layers blissfully assembled over mid-tempo drums, dramatic strings and pulsing synths lifting the introspective mood for a truly absorbing deep-dive.  'Sound Of The Sun' joyously raises the spirits, with summery chords that power delicate synth arpeggios over soul-stirring strings and synth bass. This closing cut is ripe for sundown salutations, and blissed-out finales in captivating settings.
 
Considering the prolificacy of his output, the move into label curation feels like a logical step, providing an uncompromising outlet for his evolving compositions while allowing ample room for musical collaboration. Frankfurt's celebrated producer, Philip Lauer returns to Especial, this time teaming up with Berlin based vocalist Dena for a special collaboration, covering Julie Stapleton's soulful House classic with a modern interpretation across a number of versions (vinyl and digital). 

After the success of the Hotel Lauer EP on Especial way back in 2016, Lauer has continued his ascendency with albums for Permanent Vacation and Running Back, as well as releasing a string of sure-fire, dancefloor friendly EPs for the likes of Cin Cin, Futureboogie and Skatebard's Digitalo Enterprises.

Born and raised in Bulgaria, before making the move the music mecca of Berlin, Denitza Todorova has a carved a path with her electronic, dance pop stylings across releases for the likes of K7 and Kitsune Music. First appearing on Make It Stay from Lauer's last album, it jumped out as the perfect partnership to bring the raw, soulful and uplifting sounds of the cult V4 Visions label up to date. Founded by Alex Palmer, the label was part of the UK's early 90s club sound, releasing street soul, deep house and more, in Where's Your Love Gone, Palmer and 18-year-old writer/vocalist Julie Stapleton hit on the perfect marriage of Lovers Rock and Street Soul yearning with the haunting sounds of US House. Presented as a new take on the classic, but with utmost respect, the EP starts with the Club Mix, a Larry Heard bassline joins a marimba melody, lifting Dena's vocals of youth's lost love and pain. This is followed by the Demo Mix, a warm, beautiful string laden original take that Lauer and the label felt had to be included. 

DJ Slyngshot is welcomed to provide a deep, tech remix. A name to watch via his releases on his YAPPIN label and recent EP for Workshop, his remix is an analogue twist of hypnotic, raw dub techno percussion and counter breaks builds as string and piano join. The EP ends in the Synthapella, as bongos, cowbell and whistle are added to create a drifting Balearic version for late summer nights and dawn that highlight Dena's vocals in a 'sunrise' light.

NHB can be considered one the of best recent revelation in the minimal and techno scene, where they found a place thanks to a long experience that lies in the late rave underground movement of the 90's.
NHB's philosophy has always been linked with the use of real synthesizers and drum's machines, blending an underground background with a more soft and commercial taste, making their sound unmistakable and really hard to place inside common styles. Both sound engineers, the two producers have shown the skills for moving around different genres, always maintaining an amazing quality of productions. With a huge catalogue of releases, they are continuously arriving to the highest rankings of the Beatport’s charts, gaining the support of many top djs and releasing on important labels like Toolroom, the Toronto based Play Records, owned from Deadmau5 and Mellefresh, Amazing Records from MiniCoolBoyz, Analytic trail from techno legend Markantonio, among many others.
Numerous hit such us “Shoreline”, “Hundred Times” and “Notorious Beat” have been played and supported from some of the biggest techno dis worldwide such as Len Faki, Joseph Capriati, Nicole Moudaber and many more. Their live skills brought them in many international clubs all around the world, performing also in important festivals such as the huge “Kazantip Festival (Ukraine)".
In Rome they have been resident in one of the best italian underground club (“Brancaleone” Club ), playing next to massive artists such us Tiefschwarz, M.A.N.D.Y, Amon Tobin, Tania Vulcano, Swayzak, just to cite some of them. From three years they opened their label Audio Elite, already well known among the most important dance music's chart, and that is very fast becoming a new point of reference for club music around the world.
2016 has brought new light to the duo who have reached the Top 10 on beatport techno chart twice with the singles “Shoreline” and “Hundred Times”. Many gigs worldwide and the vinyl in collaboration with the techno legend Marco Bailey are coming to close this year in the best way possible. NHB is definitely one of the upcoming stars in the world of clubbing!

He officially launched his solo project in 2010 and from this point forward, Nick started producing sounds and music that shook the dance floor, yet bestowed captivating melodies and emotional soundscapes, allowing people to create their own story within his productions. Ever since then, Nick’s career swiftly evolved and 2015 was his most successful year to date with two huge EP’s titled “The Poem” and “Cosmos”. His remix on Innellea - Colante quickly followed in 2016 and with all three EP’s released on Steyoyoke Recordings, it clearly affirmed just why he is considered a core member of this Berlin based collective. His tracks have been remixed by the likes of Kellerkind, Rolland Appel and Cid Inc and with an ever growing fan base, his music is regularly played and supported by some of the biggest DJs around the globe. Throughout his career, Nick has released originals and produced remixes on a number of labels such as, iRecords, Union Jack, 3AM, Blindfold Recordings, Us & Them, Steyoyoke and Inside Out Records. It’s only the start of 2016 and with a string of upcoming releases to look forward to, Nick Devon certainly has some exciting things on the horizon.
