The mid-month show Highlights Progressive Trance, Downtempo, and Ambient, while the end of month set is a charted  format that brings you the greatest current and classic Club Trance. The host, Charles Somerset (Mothmaker),  is an electronic artist, evolving producer, and DJ from the Southern United Dtates.

Welcome to TER's annual Psytrance Episode.  Normally I do two of these back to back, but my personal life -- along with other obligations -- have been a challenge of late.  Hopefully this set will make up for it.  I've managed to distill a half a years worth of hopefuls down to a lean thirteen tracks.  But each of these tracks have something special to offer, and each artist approaches the production craft in a different way.  There are some heavyweight names this year, including Astrix, Ace Ventura, Captain Hook and Ovnimoon just to name a few.  This year also saw the triumphant return of some veteran producers.   Ticon's new artist album is a breathtaking combination of old school sounds blended with some newer production techniques.  There are also quite a few relative unknowns making an appearance this year, which means that the genre is healthy and strong and growing.  Psytrance has managed to escape the EDM festival craze, with an insular core group of fans (Family) who epitomize the original concept of PLUR.  They are by far my favorite group of people to hang out with, and they have always managed to lift me up no matter how bad I feel.  I plan on devoting a lot of my time in 2016 with my "Family". Trance Evolution Radio:  Episode 067, Progressive Psytrance 2015

Sooryoday was written in celebration of a morning I shared with three great friends in Florida.  It was a few days after the Night Out of Time event, and Baruska, Seth, Brandon and I went down to Jacksonville beach to watch the sunrise.  I still had the weekend in my head, and the echoes of Psytrance bouncing around in there, and this track emerged later.  It borrows themes from an earlier project I had worked on but never fully realized, and after a great deal of retooling, rearranging, and mastering, it finally began to take shape and come to life.  Many humble thanks go out to Brandon Oberlin who graciously allowed me to use excerpts of his didgeridoo performance that weekend as an intro to the whole piece.  I hope you enjoy it, and feel one tenth of the magic and beauty that we experienced that cold, majestic morning.
