With everyone else taken out and infected or killed, Tempest is the last one standing, and will take her final stand against Jestra to try and bring Jackal back out and rid him of the Toxin. And although she does get close to freeing him, it doesn't work, and she ends up shattered in the process, being brough back by the Toxin as the undying Queen to Jestra's corrupted crown.

However, in her final moments she manages to awaken Jackals will to fight again, and so he has one final showdown within his own mind to fight off the Toxin once and for all, and while he does break free from it...
