Food For Thought encapsulates SwAy's musical journey, exploring the deliberate interplay between nature and technology. With its hand-illustrated artwork by the multi-talented Eric Bussart, the visual component complements the music by portraying the intertwining contrasts of the world SwAy imagines and brings to life through sound.

SwAy - Food For Thought

Produced and arranged solely by record collector and beatsmith, Rhett Whatley, The Darkness Before Dawn was recorded in Atlanta over the cold, wet winter and spring of 2014/15. This project features some of Daily Bread’s most inspired material.

“I was really focused on bringing some of the sadder, depression-dripped tones out of my record collection with this LP” Whatley explains. The songs tell tales of love lost, never-ending rain storms, late night encounters, and restless minds. I really made something that has a lot of life in it.”

Biography

A path can be interpreted as a road, sidewalk, any physical thing that carries us in our direction. Or it can be something internal, like the electrical pathways in our mind that form thought, emotion, and embody the inner workings of human sense and experience. motifv is a young artist from Colorado driven by an inner call to sonically express and share his path to the world.

Known to friends and family as Joseph Kechter, motifv creates beautifully blunted beats that meander between futuristic synthesis and collages of gospel soul. He chases light anywhere that it may lead and leaves refreshing vibrations in his wake. In an effort to ask questions that inspire and have answers that resonate in resolve, motifv looks to the sun moon and stars for guidance.
