Coming across the Aotearoa / New Zealand based duo of Brooklyn Mellar and Ike Zwanikken's Hysterical Love Project has been one of the nicest music related surprises of 2021 for me. Their album, "Endless Bliss Weekener", hits a sweet spot somewhere between the 4AD / Projekt universe and early 2000's / late 90's downtempo. I'm so excited to have them contribute a mix to the series... (which features an unreleased demo of theirs :))

"all light hits u" is a recording of original material and edits written over the past three years by two friends from Chicago, Ben (kindtree) and Tommy (_”/._.\”_).  They also comprise 2/3 of the group Purelink alongside millia rage. This excerpt into the sounds they've been making together (and individually) is full of intimate detail and movement, and reveals a clear chemistry between the two. Each listen reveals something new and the mood is a total pleasure to undergo.
