Asymmetric protagonist Inigo Kennedy returns to his label with a beautiful five track EP ‘Elysian Splinters’.

The two-part ode ‘Elysian Splinters’ gives its title to the release and kicks off the EP. Organic textures and rhythms play off each other, echoing into the ether. Both tracks played live and captured exactly as they happened. If uplifting melancholy was a thing, this would be it. In absolute spades. At the heart of the release sits ‘Rotator Cuff’, a tougher track in the vein of classic Asymmetric, where a persistent pad swirls against a bedrock of 909 and FM sounds. ‘Impetus’ is up next with its bass heavy drive and playful layers ebbing and flowing before, to finish, ‘Rust Belt’ enters at a slower and darker pace and with sheer menace and foreboding.
