Roam Recordings welcome 'Cyence', aka Belfast based dj & producer Steve Boyd, for our third release of 2021. 

  Initially scheduled for a summer festival season that never transpired, 'Pulsate' reimagines the classic Vangelis track 'Pulstar' into a sonic space odyssey, combining breaks & pulsing Italo rhythms with the original's killer riff! 
Mexico's Theus Mago gives 'Pulsate' a stripped down psychedelic remix, taking the original right back to its raw elements.   With a distinct Arabian vibe, 'Night Flight' conjures up eastern visions with ethereal vocals interlaced over driving dancefloor dynamics. Nein Records head honcho, Tronik Youth, drops the original's tempo and flips Night Flight into a drugged up, slo-mo chugger!
'Xero' delivers a dancefloor dub with loose percussion hits bouncing off a throbbing bassline, incessant stabs and low-slung strings.   The EP finishes up with a breakbeat remix of Pulsate, sounding out an EP that looks set to fire up floors across the summer months.

After a well received 50th catalog number and the latest EP from Moo Moonster & Parissior, Berlin-based
returns with its Lost Tapes series. A 10 track album from cutting edge artists deserving your attention.
Zombies in Miami, known from their releases on Running Back & Permanent Vacation kick off this release with their debut track on AEON, which had its beginning on some improvisation during a live show. The work on it continued in studio and out came „Running Again“. A song which is guided by a heavy 303 bassline, a driving arpeggiator, a dark synth melody and pregnant cowbells.
Rigopolar is no stranger to the camp. His last release on AEON was quite a success, also being found in essential playlists such as Dixon’s Track ID on Spotify. The arrangements of his songs are quite a-typical for this Italo influenced sound and therefore makes it so special. „Into The Sun“ as well is constantly evolving with small changes, grooving and driving towards its highlights. A tune to easily get lost in it.
Upcoming Lithuanian born producer and DJ Zakmina, who’s tracks already have been released on Jennifer Cardini’s Correspondant or Future Boogie continues the journey on this album with a dreamy electro/ breakbeat influenced piece. Adding some „Kraftwerk“ sounding computer voice, „Activation“ becomes a worth debut on AEON for the 25 year old.
We are also happy to welcome Vhyce, another young gun, who already made some noise with releases on Pets Recordings and Future Disco. The characteristics of his sounds are very clear and recognizable... Still he manages that his way of ‚simple‘ also turns out ‚effective‘. „Back To Where I Never Was“ can also be seen as the introduction to a massive EP following up later this year.
Russian Zakir describes himself as a producer with „meticulous attitude to forming“ of his music, reminding „of narration of a fairy tale“. „Courier 21“ tells us a story leading us through breaks, a classic 303 bassline, topped with melodies in arabic scale.
The Mexican line up on the 4th part of this Lost Tapes completes Guadalajara based My Boy Roy, who already delivered a massive remix for Alex Niggemann’s „Rise of the Machines“ back in 2020. „Chimerical“ stands out with its classic synth/new wave drums and a dark vibe bass riff, opening up with ‚sunshine like‘ melancholic break, before dropping back into its beats.
Another intro via Lost Tapes makes Rees, owner of the eclectic ‚Paradiso’ label with his uptempo tune „Dominate The Matrix“. His upcoming EP on AEON is long awaited and will include a remix from no one less than ‚Curses’.
Italian- Venezuelan Ricardo Baez, founder „Tropical Animals“ an event series in Florence, is up next with his tune „Ricordo Micidiale“ which is Italian for a very hard and strong memory, which at the same time could be a fatal or lethal memory. "This track resumes both things“, he says. Stomping 909 toms, driving bassline and choir/vocal like atmospheres might relate to the the constant battle of thoughts within minds of artists and genius minds.
Rotterdam based Machinegewehr has already made himself a name with releases on Correspondant and Amsterdam's Bordello A Parigi. With „The Maze“ the passionate drummer delivers a dreamy Nu-Italo gem with outstanding vocoder sounds and sets the bar high for his upcoming EP on AEON.
Lost Tapes Vol. 4 ends with „Mind Slave“. A track produced by Silicodisco, that finds its inspirations though the genres of Indie Dance, Future Disco and touches of post New Wave. A laid back, melodic heavy tune that perfectly rounds up an album, the AEON family is proud to present to you.

Diamond Skies can be seen as the follow-up of 2013's Dreaming In Key LP, the album that laid the foundation for the Atomnation universe that Terstappen has cultivated over the past eight years. This new album sounds lush, colorful and energetic. It features tracks that meander through ambient and melodic house genres, occasionally surprising the listener with a lost breakbeat.

The variety in melodies, soundscapes, and emotion clearly leaves enough room in the dreamworld of Applescal's music. The album sounds free and brings back a certain mystery to dance music, which in today’s world can sometimes feel grey and designed for utility in big rooms. Applescal shows the very opposite on Diamond Skies, and exemplifies the vibrant, introspective Atomnation sound.

Diamond Skies was recorded in 2019 and early 2020. The last bits were finished in the early days of March, during disturbed times. We chose to announce the album as soon as possible as we felt it had to be released in the very now. To set an example for creative optimism. To come up with something to look forward to. To do what we always do.

Imagine this - you’re in the Amazon rainforest, being chased by a Jaguar, and somehow, out of complete coincidence, you end up in a party deep within the greenery of your surroundings. Sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it? And yet, ‘Yaguar’ is no fictitious dream, but the soundtrack to Invoker’s real-life story, and one we’ve already become familiar with since it being in his ‘Afternoon Creations’ mix with us recently. And even though familiar, it’s still an enthralling rendition which gets us into gear like the very time we were introduced. From the start, with the fast tempo, bolting bass and whiplashes weaving alongside the rattling clicks, we are plunged into the centrefold of the drama, running fast and swishing around - much like a heart beating rapidly and legs moving non-stop to an unknown destination. Bright and docile chords glide forwards to the breakdown laced with a tribal drum, only to clap us back into place with high-pitched twinkles for that touch of extra drama - surely a sign of the party being found? Now in a much less frantic stage and everything much more cohesively together, we are taken to second breakdown, where the atmosphere becomes slightly darker yet bounces back to a more joyous soundscape, where the rattles and drums lead us to the end, and of course, envisage the good luck struck upon the story teller.

Berlin-based label AEON is celebrating its 50th release with a unique Compilation called ‘VERSUS’.  This EP features seven very special collaborations from cutting-edge artists such as Bawrut & Benjamin Fröhlich, Panthera Krause & Peter Invasion, Alex Niggemann & Speaking Minds, Kimshies & Futuristant, Darlyn Vlys & Amarcord, Biesmans & Jepe and Rina & Uriah Klapter. Label boss Alex Niggemann explains: “The idea was to get some of the core artists together, setting up collaborations that might would never have happened elsewhere and will forever stay as their first and exclusive work together.“ 

„Disco Tedesco“ is certainly a classic in the making. Alex Niggemann & Speaking Minds - two of the founding members of AEON - kick off with a very recognizable Disco vibe with their very first collaborating, reminding on the early hours of house music. A driving & funky bassline and its very recognizable hook, will put immediately a satisfying grin on your face, while making this tune stuck in your ears after the first listen.
Bawrut, who’s previously released on Life & Death and Permanent Vacation co-founder Benjamin Fröhlich bring a bit of a darker tune with subtle hints of breakbeat & acid to this EP, which is lightened up midway by a female vocal sample. The dark electro inspired sequencer bring you in a trance like state. „Kirmes“ is a track that will both perform well during peak time and afterhour sets.
Panthera Krause & Peter Invasion, who run the Leipzig based label Riotvan together, surprise with a breakbeat start of their first-ever collaboration as musicians… and that on AEON!
„Fiesta Hunuku“ has an industrial vibe, with sharp sounds and driving drum rhythm. Tension rises throughout and continues to build up this fusion of electro and Indie Dance, all leading up to an eccentric drop. 
„My Body Is Burning“ by the French duo Kimshies & mysterious Italian producer Futuristant instantly kicks off a club vibe. A female voice shouts: “My heart is aching…!“ Only to be joined by a dark vocoded voice later. It reminds us of an 80s science fiction movie and is surly the peak time bomb from this release. 
French DJ/Producer Darlyn Vlys & young Italian talent Amarcord created a modern sounding Proto-house banger, with a very recognizable melody and a female vocal throughout. With its groovy vocal stabs, long sweeping synths, and effected soundscape drums „ Talking Modern“ immediately feels „familiar“. 
Jepe, who recently released his debut EP on AEON and Biesmans, who’s part of the team for a while, bring a more melodic touch with their indie dance inspired tune „ Fashionably Late“. Lots of analogue synths build melodic layers to achieve a very danceable tune with an 80s reminiscent tone. 
The final collaboration of this EP comes from Rina & Uriah Klapter. Two talented musicians from the Tel Aviv scene. The track lives up to its name ‘Acid in 1986’, with its retro acid vibe, pumping „off-bassline“ and a male vocal sample to accompany this groovy after hour tune.
