wae.wav es una DJ sevillana que ha conseguido hacerse un hueco en la escena techno malagueña.

Su primer contacto con la escena fue en Berlín, donde conoció las diferentes tendencias que brinda la capital alemana. Melómana por naturaleza, tuvo experiencias con el bajo y la guitarra, decantándose finalmente por el mundo de la electrónica. 

Pese a su corta carrera wae.wav es actualmente una DJ con mucho potencial, que ha llegado ha hacerse un hueco en salas como The Club o Velvet,  llegando a compartir cartel junto a artistas como Sara Landry y Horacio Cruz siendo parte del line up del aniversario del colectivo @abstractechno .

Actualmente, wae.wav se encuentra inmersa en la producción musical, lo que le hace estar aún más en el foco.

En esta ocasión nos trae una sesión en la que reluce un techno frenético y emotivo cargado de percusiones características del hard groove con referencias actuales destacadas como Alarico, Chlär o SHDW & Obscure Shape hasta clasicos como Lars Klein o David Moleon. Una sesión actual con un sonido noventero llena de movimiento a base de percusiones y sonidos tribales que no te dejará ni un minuto de respiro

The track is created from one 808 kick sample. No other samples or synth have been used. That’s why it’s called “Alternative Uses Case”. This term is used to point other then regular method to use object. Andrey Sirotkin limited himself to one sample to show alternative use in cases of music – the same as he does in real life in Kyiv/Ukraine during electricity cutoffs and blackouts:

to use torch at mobile phone to signal for drives that person crosses street as it's dark outside and non traffic lights non street light are working

to charge mobile phone from laptop and to charge laptop from car as there's no electricity at home

to use balcony as fridge (because it's cold outside) to keep food

to use cooking pots and bath tab to keep water if there will be any cutoffs of running water

The black cover art of this release symbolises blackout at Kyiv/Ukraine after russia rocket attack.
