compilation on her label Mama told ya entitled MTY-TERRE
«Contre tout, toutes et tous, la terre demeure», just one year
after MTY-EAU «L’eau repousse les feux agressifs».

Through earth element, the compilation comes up with the
collaboration of 19 artists - 19 tracks, divided into 4 vinyls: Ane-
tha has brought together a generation of young electronic
music artists from around the world to get their hands dirty
and produce some solid gems.

Celebrated for his high-octane tracks that ignite the dancefloor, Brooklyn-based artist WTCHCRFT is amongst the new and exciting wave of Black house and techno DJs and producers. WTCHCRFT has carved out his unique style by focusing on both acid and hard techno, while incorporating his own vocals or those of other artists. His impressive discography features releases on labels such as Balkan vinyl, I Love Acid, Jujuka, Haus Of Altr, and Noise Manifesto. WTCHCRFT traverses a wide spectrum of styles, yet consistently delivers a sound that is uniquely his own.

His upcoming EP, The Wych Elm, to be released on Noise Manifesto, is a testament to his skill in minimalism, as he weaves together a limited number of elements while making the most out of the human voice.

As we look ahead to 2023, it is evident that this will be a monumental year in the career of this talented and promising New York-based producer and DJ.

Valerie Ace drops her second solo EP ‚Dare‘ via her
up and coming label Hardwon. The release
features four nonconventional club tracks covering
a wide palette of sounds from dreamy melodies to
highly distorted hardcore bass-drums. Founded in
2022, Hardwon has previously launched a mix of
digital and vinyl releases by artists Nara, Ryan
James Ford and Vel.

Valerie Ace is a DJ and electronic music producer
currently based in Düsseldorf, Germany. She made
herself known through her debut EP Glitzer Vs
Hass that was released on SPFDJ’s label Intrepid
Skin in early 2022. Several other releases have
followed since on Anetha’s Mama Told Ya, Ceili’s
Mala Adh and more. After appearances on Hör and
Boiler Room, Ace has been playing shows in clubs
all over Europe including Fold, Bootshaus and
Stone Techno Festival.

Valerie Ace started her musical journey in her teens
playing electric guitar in an experimental rock band
and spent much of her 20s in art school where she
turned toward a more electronic sound. In the
Studio Ace likes to experiment and create her own
sounddesigns and aesthetics. She has been
exploring electronic instruments from her first
oscillator - which was a self-made circuit that she
built into the back of an electric guitar - all the way
to complex modular synthesizers.

A Slice of Strawberry Shortcake is an amalgamation of flavors, boasting femme and gender nonconforming heavyweights spattered across the globe. Each track delivers distinct punches: from nextdimensional’s bass-heavy ethereal dreamscape to ROW92’s melodic drum and bass hellscape. JIALING takes us for a ride on a megabus careening down I95 and Zvrra’s Japanese video-game-inspired track Leap, draws on FM synthesis and an enemy boss encounter. As the first compilation album released by Banana Pudding Records, A Slice of Strawberry Shortcake presses that queer and femme artists are fundamental to the bourgeoning electronic scene.

JIALING (Big J) is a Taiwanese American DJ/producer, musician, and interdisciplinary artist. Currently based in Brooklyn, JIALING was born and raised in Baltimore as a classical cellist. They spent several years living abroad in Asia, Australia and the Middle East before returning to New York.

They are part of collectives AYI AYI (Brooklyn) and WOE (Baltimore) and have monthly residencies on London’s Balamii and San Francisco’s Hyde FM.
