This digital release comes by the hand of Spanish duo Crime as Service whose specialty is textured obscure techno with a passion for abstract ambiences and solid grooves.

The sound voyage starts with Access, a beatless ambient exercise reminding us of the sound of a spaceship floating out there with no gravity. Drones, background noise, and subtle voices.

​

Assault to Scada follows, starting with a continuous sequence that floats over a solid kick, main sequence’s filter rises from below and soon new textures are added filling the stereo field. No sudden changes, no breakdowns, obsession and hypnosis as a mixing tool.

​

Spudger has a more shuffled rhythmic approach, with more percussive elements and flanged filtered synth lines. Again obsession and tension as leitmotiv.

​

Closing the release Dread Pirate Roberts flows over similar parameters, heavy sub bass action, a groove that grows progressively, phased and flanged components and a linear and mental arrangement.

​

Four cuts that work as a concept, rising from beatless to intense, excellent for those with proper mixing skills who can get the most out of these pristine sounding tools.

Kaylah’s productions need no introduction so, in here you’ll find some pretty tough-sounding pair as usually The UK-based artist provides, 13 Sins sounds very epic with synths echoing in a rolling percussions madness. Quiet Riot follows with a non stop energetic supercharge, unforgiving and groovy as well! Speaking of groove and harsh sounds, on remix duty we have E.L.I.A.S  with his powerful drums progressions keeping the pace up and running and Ôneyra, turning 13 Sins’ rolling path into its darkest and most obscure of shades.

About time to get the podcast back and running, and first one to kick off this year is one of the STRECK founders, SIMA.

SIMA is a Berlin-based producer and DJ, originally from Gothenburg. During 2020, he had 2 releases on the label Ismus, with one more planned for 2021. 
Together with STRECKs Icelandic hammer STEFÁN, they where debuting as duo Rogue Wave on STRECK's first release with the track "Feeble Life". On this double vinyl VA, he's also contributing with a track of his own as well as an additional collab with KAL KET.

SIMA is also part of a new live music project called “SSSR” together with two familiar faces from STRECK.
