Mouldy Soul @ MoodSwings(14.10.17)

I made this track a couple of months ago to enter the Deadmau5 artist competition through his Masterclass course, took the course, watched the videos and then tried to have a shot at 4/4 music... 

I'm honestly not sure what anyone will think of it, whether it's too dissimilar to the stuff I usually make. I don't really care if it doesn't fit into the conventional forms of house or whatever music,  I just hope there's some random people out there that like this sillyness as much as I enjoyed making it! 

I've showed it to a couple of DJ's and have been told to "dumb" it down, and then insist on telling me what dance/house music is, I just wanted to present a different angle and explore what house music could be. 

Any thoughts on mixdown/mastering are welcome, sadly it didn't place in the competition, as maybe the track is not to the same standards of Mau5trap, so any thoughts on improvement are welcome! 

I'm gonna go back to it and add one more sound and get professionally mastered, but this is exactly what I submitted for posterity. 

Vocals at the end are sung by my good friend Ellen S.

Dragon Crunk

Psychedelic Jelly is a collective of downtempo psychedelic musical acts, based in Bristol they've been pushing a fun flavourful ride through alternative, underground and psychedelic infused downtempo and midtempo. I'm excited to contribute a track called "Cleave the aether", I'm not entirely sure where I got the line for the sample from, possibly Dante? If anyone recognises it please shout!

Hey guys, here's a track me and my mate Dave have been working on, we're starting a live electro-glitch-swing band called "Wu-Li Masters". We need a trumpet/sax player so if anyone's interested please get in touch :) 

Wu-li means patterns of organic energy and nonsense in Chinese so we thought it would be an appropriate name!! The name is inspired by the book by Gary Zuvak called "The dancing Wu-li masters" Great read if you've never heard of it :)
