The Turn of Desire
The song "Quem Não Quer Sou Eu," performed by Brazilian singer Seu Jorge, addresses the theme of romantic misunderstanding and the reversal of roles in the game of conquest. The lyrics describe the reflection of an individual who spends a sleepless night ruminating on what happened in their relationship. The repetition of the phrase "I did everything, but it was too late" suggests a futile effort to save the relationship, while "you didn't understand" indicates a lack of understanding or appreciation on the part of the other person.
The refrain "I'm the one who doesn't want it" marks a shift in the dynamic between those involved. Initially, the narrator seems to have been the most interested in the relationship, but after realizing the other's fear of delving deeper into their feelings, he decides that he's the one who no longer wants it. This change in attitude can be interpreted as a form of self-esteem and a defense mechanism against rejection.
The song also uses urban metaphors, such as congested traffic and a heart that "seems to beep," to illustrate the narrator's emotional turmoil. Jorge, known for his distinctive voice and style that blends samba, funk, and MPB, conveys through his performance the complexity of human emotions in the face of love and loss.

Moulton Music is a collaboration of artists obsessed with both the future and past of house music.  Being run by producers and music-makers, our output is varied, ranging from deep house to soul to jackin' disco, but always with a sense of historical perspective and an ear for fine-tuned production, as well as a deep connection to the dancefloor.  We're based around San Francisco's legendary Moulton Studios, where most of the production takes place, but our friends and collaborators stretch far and wide.  

There are many people involved, but our core consists of Chris Lum and David Harness (who together form Harlum Muziq), as well as Homero Espinosa and Allen Craig (both formerly of Yerba Buena Discos), along with San Francisco cult favorite DJ's Sergio Fedasz and Ivan Ruiz, and producer and marketing guru Anish Acharya (of Dream In Audio).  Of course, we have many more friends and compatriots when you include all the people involved in our regular Molton Sessions underground house party, our various club nights, and the rest of the artists and remixers on the label, but it's that spirit of collaboration, along with our past-meets-future musical values, which defines Moulton Music.
