About Amer Munib
He was born in the Dokki neighborhood in Giza on September 2, 1963, to an artistic family. His grandmother is the late artist Mary Munib. Amer Munib moved to his grandmother's house in Shubra with his older brother (Jamal) and his two younger sisters (Amira) and (Amina). Amer used to go with his grandmother to the Najib Al-Rihani Theater to watch her works and the works of her fellow artists. He was fond of theater and acting despite his intense love for singing. His grandmother died when he was six years old, in 1969, and her colleagues in the field of art mourned him and he returned to his father’s embrace. He was one of the academically outstanding students in his class. He graduated from the Faculty of Commerce at Ain Shams University in 1985 after obtaining a bachelor’s degree with a very good grade. He became a teaching assistant at his university, and spent his spare time singing for famous singers such as the late Abdel Halim Hafez.
