Richard'Ricky'Palmer & The Shine4U Project have recorded a single to support The Baton of Hope organisation. The track will be released on 10th October 2025; On World Mental Health Day. 

The Shine4U Project is a collective of local musicians from in and around Portsmouth, Hampshire.

The Baton of Hope UK raises awareness of suicide prevention, improving access to information and services so as to prevent suicide.

'I wanted to record a song that really reaches out to anyone who is stuggling with thoughts of suicide. As a suicide survivor, I know the importance of someone reaching out...a dear friend did reach out a hand and saved my life. I hope my song will inspire people to call a friend and check in on them; it might be the thing that saves them.'
