Dirk Wiertz is a dj & producer from Amsterdam, combining best of both worlds working in Amsterdams finest recordstore Concerto, making music & collecting records.
After hearing Newcleus’ Computer Age as a kid in the late 80’s he was hooked on electro music at a very young age.
Starting out with a Roland MC303 making electro tracks was all he would do, but soon many more drummachines & synthesizers filled his studio.
Now more inspired by the likes of Drexciya, Anthony Rother and many others he started developing his style and started podcasting monthly mixes with his electro faves.
Lately his track “Texel” was released on LBR records in March this year, delivering a blistering electro cut, followed by his debut EP “Grounded” on Cyberdomain records, released on cassette tape, which gained the support of Dark Science Electro, Jonny Moy and Dave Clarke.
“ It lends the hard-driving bass-lines muscular tension and elastic bounce. Combined with kinetic rhythms and drumbreaks, Wiertz delivers an on-point and low-end driven techno full of thrilling surprises.”

Soj is the project of lan Broch,since 2014 Soj merged by his own releases and the first well know track "Astronomia Geométrica".
Works more focused on industrial and Ebm music have been lan's main trademark for his live set and his dj mix since then.
Lan has been released on labels such infiled bodies or industrial Complex,but where he leave his mind more open to diferente styles its on his own label Soil Records.
As manager of Soil Records,where we can find names like Terence Fixmer,Arnauld Rebotini,Samuel Kerridge or Years of Denial to name a few, He released his first Album Body Shaper on 2019.
Throughout the years Soj has been collaborating whit many projects for remixes and he will announce new album at the end of 2021 whit collaborations too.

ZHARK 0036 As Your Skies Are Fading Away by Orphx / kareem CUTZ

At the end of last year, Urban Kickz released one of the strongest releases of 2021 with the track "In Plain Sight". The culprit of this celebration is Idiocrat. Despite the stylistic narrow focus, Idiocrat's material strongly feels a multifaceted understanding of our musical world from neo-Detroit to energetic and "fat" electro. We could not ignore this event and urgently contacted the artist.

Idiocrat is the genre unspecified pseudonym of the versatile and often beleaguered electronic music producer [insert name here]. Intentionally gravitating towards reclusive musical exploits, the actively reluctant anti-socialisers productions serve as a much needed creative output and a profoundly vital form of escapism. An accomplished but permanently forgotten DJ during the 2000s, the self-deprecating Portsmouthian has primarily operated musically as a producer since the later part of the aforementioned decade under multiple aliases. His future genre unspecified offerings intend to persistently baffle and unsettle. Unwatch this space.

Strange But Dance Music #74: Idiocrat

Our 4th podcast is made by Asymmetrical. 
He is involved in a lot of projects, some of them known like Fauna53 (along with LKSMN and LDWG), Cobret Voltaire (with LDWG) and Distorted Portrait, others of them unknown (and probably it's better for everyone in this way). Further he‘s a resident DJ of collective Zerouno in Rome and, under the pseudonym of John English,  part of the Knick Knack Yoda team.
He also runs the label Raw Culture known for its great mixture of  industrial-fired dungeon music ranging from  wave to machinic and raw rhythm excursions (especially in his own productions) to dirty electro and drum experiments.
His mix is blending together all these different times, sounds, instruments, rhythms and genres to a powerful and eclectic ride straight to the eerie and back.

Leipzig peeps: by cosmic Intervention Alice in Flames and Asymmetrical will play at the same party at Mjut this Saturday 30th of April. Join us!

Ex.Hale is a brand new project born in 2021 with releases on brokntoys, Sonic Groove, Voidance Berlin, Diffuse Reality, Rudiment and mixes on Mutant Radio, Abaddon and Sonidos Subterraneos. Her mix for Abaddon together with some of his tracks has been picked as monthly fav by XLR8R. He started play as Ex.Hale back in December in Barcelona (The Garage Of The Bass Valley) and then get booked in Bruxelles (Cafè Central), Verona (Brutal Forms), Berlin (Suicide Club, Tresor) and Leipzig (Um Laum).
His mix of experimental, techno, jungle and dub caught the ears of some of the most respected labels like brokntoys and Sonic Groove that offered to release his music.
