Steve Sibra is no newcomer to the French electronic music scene. Active since 1999, he has already released several albums and around forty EPs. 
Originally from Paris but now based in Montpellier in the south of France, Steve is a radio man. For many years, he hosted Laboratoire Sonore on Montpellier 91 FM, where he welcomed the cream of international artists to his show. 

Steve joined the Brique Rouge team in 2022 and, in just a few releases, has risen to become one of the core artists shaping the label's sound. He brings his inimitable touch of melancholic deep techno and melodic, cinematic soft house, sometimes infusing it with a strong electro influence and a few experimental touches. The quality of his productions having won over everyone who listened to them, it was only natural to (finally) offer an album that allows listeners to enter Steve's dancefloor universe.  

And what an album! With 21 tracks, it's more than an adventure, it's a huge sonic trip that draws you in from the very first track and takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions, vibrations, and sensations that doesn't let go until the very last track. It's a coherent universe, where every note is weighed for a minimalist approach to a melodious groove. 

Sometimes leaning towards “sunset music,” sometimes towards a slightly darker melancholy, Telepath Voodoo leaves no one indifferent, and each listen brings its own set of details and surprises.  So listen to it loud, listen to it on headphones, listen to it while dancing or meditating, but let yourself be carried away on this long journey that Steve Sibra offers you.  Undoubtedly one of the most important French House and Electronic artists of the moment.

Created in 1999 by David Duriez, the independent French label Brique Rouge continues to promote the electronic sound that David has always believed in and defended. Far from the formatting and excessive vulgarity of the current electronic scene, the label promotes an eclectic electronic sound that remains rooted in the underground and, above all, in a clubbing vibe.  In general, the artists on the team are given carte blanche, and it is above all the spirit that counts. The label does not seek success; it is a success. The success of being able to release music without compromise. With one release per week on platforms since 2020, the label (and its divisions RZ Muzik & Obliqu3) is seen as a key player in the French underground electronic scene due to its activism.

Man of many labels Marcel Vogel turns out some of his most impressive material on Intimate Friends, bringing other talents into the fold to share in his vision of soul, funk, disco and house how it should be done. Having released the Human Beings album last year, Vogel invites a stellar cast to come and remix several tracks with predictably fantastic results. NY*AK enlists the honey-coated Rhodes skills of Mark Hand on their version of "Human Being", and it's an absolute joy to listen to. Meanwhile SoulPhiction gets into an equally heart-warming groove when he tackles "Always Isn't Only". Soul Clap meanwhile bring a little more party functionality to "Moonchild" before Simba offers up a very different, low-slung and laid back version.

@Monologues Records is a record label founded by Ben Gomori in January of 2015 and has evolved from what was initially a podcast series. Although the mixes are still coming with relative frequency, so are the records. The first seventeen releases were digital only but like many others before him, Gomori has decided to start releasing on wax and the last seven records from artists such as Nail and Leon Revol have been pressed to vinyl. The eighth 12" release from Monologues features a four track EP from DJ Aakmael with two of those being remixes, one from Ben Gomori himself and the other coming from none other than the man behind the imprint's previous release.

@LeonidMusique has had several releases come out in fairly quick succession this year with EPs on Secret Reels, Future Disco, and of course Monologues. The young producer is somewhat of an unheralded wunderkind flying under the radar with lovely sample work and moody textures found throughout most of his work thus far. In today's premiere he takes the already fantastic track Dahlin' from DJ Aakmael and gives it his own spin. Making do without the vocal chops of the original he takes the main chord samples and works around those. Leon's version is a lot darker and hazier, less upbeat and yet still very groovy. Detroit-inspired organ stabs adorn this slow burner while a hypnotic bass line walks around the arrangement. This is just further proof that Leon Revol should be on your radar if he isn't already.

The latest transmission from the Lumberjacks stable taps up London-based producer Alan Dixon, who tackles a soul-stirring gospel belter from Frank Booker on the A side. Whatever your spiritual persuasion, "Rise & Shine" can't help but inject a little joy into your life. On the flip, Dixon turns the piano house power up to 11 with the life-affirming thrust of "Whatcha Gonna Do", featuring Maleke O'Ney on vocal duties. Completing the set, Lumberjacks head honcho Marcel Vogel drops in a remix that twists the original into a loose and limber jazz-funk-house odyssey of epic proportions.

DJ Rocca releases his new album 'Isole', a symbiosis of electronic beats and ambient synths.

Italian producer and musician DJ Rocca (AKA Luca Roccatagliati) is back on Nang.   Rocca has been around the dance music block a few times; having collaborated with the likes of Howie B, Zed Bias, Daniele Baldelli and Jazzanova. He has also remixed a whole host of artists such as Oliver Koletzki, Luke Solomon, Blaze and even Flock of Seagulls.  
Now our friend gets his own spotlight to shine with his debut solo artist album, Isole.  
'Stone Town', written with Dimitri from Paris who is influenced by 1970s funk and disco, encompasses the marimba in keeping with the beachy feel of the record.
