He started taking drums and pianolessons at the age of 5 and played in several bands during his teenage years.Primarily drums, which has shaped and influenced his sound today.After completing his school career, he trained as a sound engineer andbegan to produce hisfirst tracks.first releases followed on labels like lekker records, Circa Trax, Fantin Zooand Piv Records.his sound moves between several genres and styles, which are stronglyinfluenced by funky basslines, driving beats and warm jazz accents.jan has shown what he's capable of with a number of releases and he can'twait to show the world more of his sound.His great influence of Detroit techno and house allows his listeners toimmerse themselves in the past decades and combines this with a fresh andoriginal character.

'Distortion zebra' era starts with this new brand release, the ninety first, during 9th anniversary celebrations. For this special occasion the head-honcho, u z z v, is launching an eight tracks album/mixtape called 'NINE' . Almost three years of work which includes a solo track called 'Nine', where the artist wants to show all the 'zebra marks' -talking about sub-genres-, from a 'Club Mix' version where house beats can feel it, to a 'Circus Rave Mix' where the acid synths and the imprint's darkest face mixed. Continuing with the sideshow-circus thematic, 'Funambolo' is the first collaboration between u z z v and the Italian producer Jamahr. Couple more label-artists contributed on this piece too, Last Vision on 'Cometas' and the Ecuadorian born Barucc on 'Drmmr'. New names -but known from everybody- on the family, Adam Braiman (USA) on 'Deep Pachanga' and the Greek artist Ekoboy on 'Toukakan'. The album/mixtape includes also a 'Continuous Mix'.
