jaybe. has been a part of the Movement Collective family since almost the very beginning, sharing that same dedication to both nurturing and bringing to light new music which breaks boundaries and is driven by vibration, rhythm, and emotion rather than a specific genre.  He helped broadcast some of the very earliest Movement sets on Etikette Radio in Berlin, as well he's written and produced with a number of a musical acts over the years.  Recently he's been working on expanding the MCollective experience into places where there may not be already be an underground house, electronic, or new music scene.

After a long break of our MC Podcast we made sure we came back stronger, and that's why we are bringing you for our featured artist #5 our very own Varela. 
   He lately has developed a sound that has become a big component of the Texas electronic music scene. His deep involvement with music has been going for long now, and it can be appreciated in this latest selection he did for us in this mix. Trippy background atmos, organic sounds fading in and out, and chords fully present during the whole set, Varela is giving us a full sense of what minimal house music is about.  We are fascinated to have this guy as part of our movement. Let's dance and give a good listen to our guy Varela.

Berlin-based DJ & producer diexx aka Juarés has perfected his signature cross between the electronic sounds of his new home with those of his old one in Mexico, mixing them into incredibly imaginative sonic fabrics that are both hypnotic and mesmerizing.

Hailing from the Mexican capital, diexx has convinced crowds across Mexico and Europe with an eclectic mix that combines electronic grooves with world in uences,  shes in obscure territories, and ends in a wild vortex of dance. This exceptional DJ is at his best especially at small festivals and selected gigs!

The music selection of diexx has always been a pleasure, laying a percussive grooving  ow underneath surprises from all over the world, and introducing strange synths and trippy drums galore.
He has been turning more and more heads lately, showcasing a very unique and unpredictable style haunted throughout by obscure rarities.

Our next MCP is brought by our good friend and talented DelFin who is not strange to the scene. DelFin is a co-owner and key driving force behind Motek Music, which is a UK based deep house and techno label  which has steadily build a strong following since its first release in 2014. 

He has been  DJing since various guises with his sound ranging from progressive trance, breakbeat and most recently deep house/techno under the DelFin guise. He has been releasing on his own Motek label as well as a highly successful Jalemba release with Stevie R on the well regarded London label Chapter 24 Records.

We bring you podcast #018 with our good friend Gabriel I, owner of Tenampa Records based in Mexico City.

Over the years Gabriel has become one of the finest examples of DJ culture from Mexico. Such popularity has made him appear on the radar of the electronic hi-life connoisseurs around the world, gaining wide reception and recognition for his attention to detail and craft.

As for 2011, he embarked on launching Tenampa Recordings onto the International electronic scene. Considered by many, one of the most representative Electronic Record Labels from Mexico. With a respectable amount of important producers signed along the ride.

His solid & defined sound has allowed him to play shows and festivals in more than 20 countries around the world... from Mexico and USA, to Central / South America, to Asia and Europe.

He has shared decks with artists such as:
John Digweed, Sasha, Hernan Cattaneo, Richie Hawtin, Loco Dice, Seth Troxler, Pete Tong, Sander Kleinenberg, James Zabiela, Marco Carola, and countless more international top talent.

Madame Edwaar was raised by a musical family in a little town of Belgium called Waregem.  His mum played the cello, his dad piano and trumpet, his oldest sister the piano and second sister the flute. Edwaar or Eddy played the drums himself, but soon his attention went to the electronic music scene. 

His first acts happened near his hometown, moving up to big clubs and then the decision of moving to Berlin in 2016.  Madame Edwaar has performed in venues like Decadance (BE), Club 69(BE), Kompass Club (BE) Suicide Circus (DE), Griessmuehle (DE), Loftus Hall (DE), 60hz (DE), Klunkerkranich (DE) to name a few.

Movement Collective thrives on walking paths that haven’t been beaten yet. A crew with an international scope and an attitude towards music that says “fresh only”. Founded in 2013 in Austin, Texas, Movement Collective is now double based in its founding city as well as Berlin, Germany.

With a diverse roster of selectors and producers, Movement Collective aims at giving an unheard and unseen spin to the scenes in Berlin and Austin. With an “esoteric” (Magnetic Magazine) understanding of electronic music, their selectors dig deep into the crates of house and techno music to deliver memorable experiences and broadened horizons.

Establishing GRÜV and MÜV events in Austin as well as TRANSPOSE in Berlin, the Collective sets out to provide sounds that are not necessarily typical for the respective cities. Introducing not only newcomers and genuine styles, but also bringing international bookings to places where they have not been heard yet is part of the Movements quest. There is a strong belief among its members that electronic music is dynamic, ever-changing and a heartfelt endeavour that needs love, care and passion.
