Borderline

Second Hand Lover is an alternative-rock track with stylistic elements of North African influenced guitars, layered over accelerated jazz and reggaeton inspired bass and percussion sections. The vocal experimentation shifts from haunting staccato verses to ethereal bridges, interchanging with the frenetic chorus melodies. The mood is intense, contemplative and volatile, mirroring the lyrical themes of shame and isolation which build up towards the song’s anarchic crescendo.

Biog: London’s moving mirrors formed in summer 2022. Their alternative sound explores a myriad of tastes ranging from art-rock, pop and world influences, to name a few, weaving together an explosive tapestry of hypnotic riffs, flowing beats and lyrical tales to intrigue listeners. 

Having begun to cut their teeth live in south London over the last few months, the band’s first self-releases ‘Wilder State of Mind’ and ‘Borderline’ were released on 29 March 2023, with the band’s next track ‘Second Hand Lover’ landing on 7 July 2023. 

The band have been offered a series of live dates across London this summer including shows with HOTVOX, Gotobeat and Camden Rocks Presents. A first EP will follow later this Autumn.

Never Going Back Now

moving mirrors are an alt. band emerging back in the Spring of 2023 with a pair of singles, the cascading dream pop of 'Wilder State of Mind' and the indiepop meets trip-hop of 'Borderline'. Since then the band have been making their mark on the London live scene including headline shows at the likes of Two Palms, The Victoria (Scared To Dance), Folklore and The Finsbury.

Next single 'Second Hand Lover' landed in summer 2023 receiving positive grassroots reviews from the likes of Mystic Sons, Mesmerised and Lost in the Manor. The band shared their first new material of 2024, 'Never Going Back Now', with Earmilk citing the band as an act to watch.
