Seoul-based collector and DJ of various genres from around the world. His 8,90s Balearic, Boogie, House mixes have been played over the years on Radio TNP(NL), Operator Radio(NL), Sphere Radio(GE), Amok Radio(LU), Rocket Radio(IT), EHFM(UK), Pinata Radio(FR) and Bangkok Community Radio(TH) etc…

Released under his alter-ego, TUCAN DISCOS, the edit series made his name known to DJs and musicians throughout Europe, South America, the United States, and Southeast Asia. (A compilation album containing his edit tracks was released by Brazilian label Bongo Synth in September 2022.)

As a DJ, he has played alongside Folamour, Beesmunt Soundsystem, and Hidden Spheres in Seoul, and he drew attention in the local scene for his successful party under the name Tucan Discos by directly booking Raphael Top Secret. 

Over the past few years, he has served as Korean Correspondent/Editor working with Discogs and promoted the local underground music scene to the record community of around the world through Discogs

For our 25th mix we're welcoming Amsterdam based selector DJ Tracksuit, who's supplied an hour and a half of beautiful world rhythms.

We've known Tim for a few years, having linked up previously when he did a mix for our 24 hour Live For Love fundraiser livestream during lockdown. His music taste and knowledge runs seriously deep, and is a DJ we're consistently blown away by. This mix is no different, and shows off his style and versatility.

DJ Tracksuit says: "I’ve been wanting to record this mix for a while but had troubles with turntables, tonearms, needles and in general, a very busy 2022. The result is a full vinyl mix of (mostly) psychedelic and percussive grooves from some of my favourite musical countries (Guadeloupe, Cape Verde & Haiti). Starting at 75 or so BPM all the way up to well over double that in a bit less than an hour and a half. I can imagine an Apricot Ballroom party have a similar (but more stretched out) progression! Protest music, slow & fast Gwo Ka or Zouk, Compas, Carnaval music. It’s all in there, including some of my all time favourite songs. Viscardi & Il Duo Magnetico is the new collaborative project between italo-swiss DJ, producer and singer Pascal Viscardi, Yavor Lilov and Alain Sandri, respectively drummer and percussionist of the swiss cult band L’Éclair. 

The three musicians joined forces in Geneva and worked in the studio for the past two years with Viscardi as the main vocalist, Lilov producing the tracks and playing drums, bass and keys, and Sandri on guitar, percussion, and backing vocals. The result is a unique and contemporary version of italian pop, peppered with new-wave, boogie, disco and world music references.

On Sale Sole Pascal's mellifluous lyrics float on a midtempo boogie groove, projecting visions of sun drenched cities and summer sunsets. On the flip side Jamba Club is a reggae infused slow burner, reminiscent of night encounters and forgotten love stories. 

Sale Sole / Jamba Club marks the project’s debut release and serves as a sneak peek into the upcoming full-length album, set to release on Cosmic Romance in fall 2023.
