2024 Monthly Mixes

With spring and warmer weather on the way I feel this months mix needed some breaky goodness. I've tried to balance out the mix with commercial and underground sounds, make sure to check out the twists on some garage classics and some rare dubs. The last part of the mix is tailored towards the club. 

Manchester has a huge breaks scene with a surge of young producers pushing this sound in the charts and the clubs. Really looking forward to this summer to see which way this specific style goes.

Spring Warm Up Mix - Garage / 130 Breaks / Speed Garage

Since I was a little kid I have always been into music. I remember hearing these tunes on the radio and watching some of these artists on Top Of The Pops. Could you imagine being around in your late teens / early 20's clubbing for the first time and hearing this music on a huge sound system in the 90's. No cell phones, no CDJ's, just you and your pals getting down to some of the most pinnacle sounds of house music on pure vinyl.

In this set I've tried to recreate what it must of sounded like back then with some of my favorite records. The quality of some of the records are a bit rough & ready. There is no tricky mixing, the tracks are just played as they should be, if anything it adds to the character and replicates this sound for what it is... RAW

Old Skool 90's House Mix

With Bangface weekender around the corner it was only right to dedicate Aprils mix towards this crazy festival. 

Bangface started out in 2003 by running a monthly nightclub event in London, at the Elektrowerkz club in Angel, and have branched out through the annual Weekender event as well as an annual boat party on the River Thames.

Bangface has been praised for throwing parties with a not so serious atmosphere. All their events feature the distribution of inflatable objects, trumpets, vuvuzelas and placards with comedic slogans among the crowd, as well as fancy dress themes.

Expect some absolute stompers from the likes of Lobsta B, DJ Fingerblast, Count Donkula, Polo Lilli, Mandidextrous, DJ Keyliacs, Sherekahnn, Nikki Nair & many many more.

Bangface Mix - Donk / Neorave / Breaks

It has been a while since I recorded a mix specifically tailored towards the club. 

This month I've blended all my favorite bass heavy genres into one 90 minute journey for you all to come on with a few cheeky mash up's of some classics dance anthems. I did not realise until after finishing this mix and listening back how heavy it gets at times :P

Rave Mix - Breaks / Electro / Techno / Ghettotech / Jungle

Well Summer has well and truely arrived in the UK and the BBQ's are out. For this months mix I've put together some of my favorite chillout records which vary in BPM and Genre. I have mixed this together based on "feeling"  more than following the basic rules of DJing.

Wether your at the afters after the after party or chilling by the beach with your pals, this mix should have your heads boppin.

Summer Chillout Mix - Indie / Trip-Hop / Downtempo

Every time somebody asks me about my Ibiza seasons my memories instantly jump back to the Pachacat Catamaran boat parties. They ran first thing in the morning after you had got back from the superclubs.

I remember Marco Loco running up and down the west end in San Antonio promoting the hell out of it. These parties were a massive influence on me and I would love just re-live one moment from them times. 

Whilst recording this mix I was taken back and it made me think about how different the scene is today. The long blends, simple basslines & powerful vocals really did define this sound to specific era of house music. I really hope this mix does them times justice.

Expect some absolute deep wavy classics from the likes of Jamie Jones, Karmon, Luft, Sebastien Leger, Fur Coat, Kolombo, Solomun & many more.

PashaCat Ibiza Deep House Mix

I hope everyones 2024 has started with a bang! 

So I'm back with the monthly mix series where I showcase music which i'm playing out at gigs and also to show you some of my favorite tracks (with some hilarious AI images).

This month mix contains a varied mash up of some of the beats I used to listen to growing up as well as some pretty fresh records.

UK Bass Mix - 130's / Breaks / Speed Garage / Dubstep

With Radio 1 Drumsheds around the corner, I've decided to go back to my roots of melodic house and techno with this months mix.

The act i'm looking forward to seeing the most is the one and only: Maceo Plex. Since seeing him at the infamous club "Amnesia" in Ibiza back in 2011, he has been a huge influence on my musical journey.

His music often features deep, pulsating basslines, intricate melodies, and hypnotic rhythms, creating a rich and immersive sonic experience. He often incorporates ethereal pads and textures that add depth to the sound.

I hope this months mix does him and his label "Ellum" proud.

Drumsheds Warm Up Mix - Melodic House / Techno / Breaks

Festival season is around the corner and to celebrate I’ve put together a diverse, in your face, filthy mix. For this month I've blended elements of various styles resulting in 95 minutes of eclectic madness.

I've tried to create a mixture of intricate rhythms, sparse melodies, and fast paced grooves that should get even the stiffest musical anhedonic grooving.

Funky Disco House Mix - Disco House / Funk / Nu Disco

Hey Everybody,

I've been wanting to lay down a mix like this for quite some time and with some inspiration from a friend it has came together quite nicely. If any of you have ever been to Berlin and seen the carnage which unfolds in the clubs music wise, then this is going to sound familar.

I wanted to showcase how creative and raw these underground techno artists can be. Producers such as Horsegirl, DJ Heartstring & Marlon Hoffstadt have brought this once underground sound into the limelight with a huge worldwide following.

The best way to describe this music is boundary-pushing, genre-defying, minimalistic, gritty & high-energy which is perfect for the modern techno aficionado. Listen out for your favorite familiar chart anthems but with that magical techno twist.

Berlin Mix - Eurodance / Hard House / Trance Wave Mix

Summer has finally arrived in Manchester, I've took some inspiration from a few raves and festivals I have attended this year so far and decided to make a chilled house mix for July.

This mix features warm, groovy basslines and smooth rhythms which is a main characteristic of deep house. As it progresses the mood shifts to a more minor tone with psychedelic elements to give it that trippy feel.

This is one for them hot summer days on the beach or chilling by the pool.
