For the spooky season and for the dancing! Loved Squid Game like a lot of folk and fell in love with the "Pink Soldiers" track upon first listen - and when I finished the show even the song kept playing in my head. So I decided to do something fun with it in time for everybody to play this at their Halloween raves this weekend, while cleaning/dancing around the house, while fighting crooks in the alleyway, or to imagine that a 2nd season will have a dance battle on the show. This is the audio only from an audio / video project was made for one of my Pathfinder (tabletop) characters I was returning to playing after a long hiatus. The audio/video represents a canonical dream the character had which pertains to important background / lore information for the character. 
For me, though, it was a fun way to make something creatively without a lot of pressure other than a personal deadline, and I got to work on some old and new skills to put it all together within a week or so. I think I could’ve spent more time on some things (an endless feeling as a creative sometimes lol) but I'm happy with how it turned out for now. In case anyone forgets how much I enjoy tabletop roleplay games, I can always point to this type of stuff.

This project was put together originally between 2016-2018 - but I then went through some mental challenges outside of music as a person in this world. I went on a musical hiatus / blockage for a while and pretty much scrapped the idea of releasing this project at one point. Cut to end of 2019 / beginning of 2020 and I got myself into a better mental space overall with the challenges of getting my musical groove back as well. I decided I needed to update, finish, and release this LP titled "extraplanar experiments" before moving on with my new ideas and themes with music. This is a nice step towards what I want from my music in the future but I still have a long way to go. 
Being an interdimensional vigilante super being and a regular person in this world can both be tough for their own reasons. This project is a mix of many ideas that are original and some that are just flips and remixes of some sounds I enjoy on my own. Some hip-hop and electronic beats mixed in with some guitar features and other strange samplings to complete this project. It's not perfect but I am proud it got to this point and was released after such a large personal battle. When life gets you down, there's nothing better than getting back up and taking steps forward, even if it took a couple years. Enjoy and let me know what you think! <3
