In December 2018, Darius Syrossian Launches MOXY MUZIK

a new Vinyl & Digital record label 

“reaching any top 10 chart doesn’t interest me nor is it the purpose of this label,
I feel there is a big shift at the moment with too much generic tech house being put out on the market,Too much music is sounding the same & there seems to be a distinct lack of Depth in music aimed at the Dance floor, i want to show with this label that underground music can still be for the dance floor, it doesnt have to be Generic.

This is the answer Darius gave in recent interview when asked why is he starting Moxy Muzik

* THE MOXY MUZIK LABEL

Moxy Muzik will have Bespoke hand drawn art for each Vinyl release & Darius has been working with renounced artist Charlotte Archer making sure each release has individual art.

The first few releases feature artists such as

These artists have been carefully hand picked & the purpose of the label is to bring quality House & Techno that is aimed at the Dance floor, Music that can be heard in 10 or 15 years & still be enjoyed rather than music that is aimed at reaching a top 10 chart of a current fad, as Darius explains

The first release on the label is the EP ‘Dance of the Shaman’ by Darius Himself
a Hypnotic track that has an unorthodox method of using an organ as the main baseline, it’s a turbo charged left field house cut with rubbery bass running alongside slick driving drums. The infectious groove is full of late night soul and chords stabs & is littered with plenty of human emotions.

There are 3 remixes with Me Me Me label boss Man Power delivers a 13 min remix that has all the ingredients of becoming timeless classic for those that like quality deep house music that uses chords and keys to deliver a lush remix that would easily be one of the main tracks had this been on someones artist album. The legendary Doc Martin then strips things back further and layers in some steamy female vocals to his remix and East End Dubz delivers a remix that will have all the fans of the Romanian Techno sound frothing at the mouth.

MOXY MUZIK is a sol project while Darius still continues DONOTSLEEP with the rest of the DNS team
DONOTSLEEP had another huge Ibiza summer this time at Amnesia, a party that saw Darius play alongside artists such as

* THE MOXY MUZIK RESIDENCY

So as the Label is launched, Darius is doing a series of parties across the uk & abroad to coincide with the Launch of the label, 
these are ALL going to be all night long or 6 hour sets, and to be ONLY held in CLUBS. as well as starting a Monthly residency at Joshua Brooks in Manchester.
the purpose of this is to take ‘CLUBBING BACK TO CLUBS’ and at the same time, play long extended sets

Having agreed to play a 6hr set at Joshua Brooks Manchester in June, the event sold out in under 24 hours off the back of Darius tweeting a ticket link, before any artwork or even an event page was created, such was demand their was another date added the following week which also sold out
The atmosphere was electric & this led Darius to plan on a residency in 2019

So 2019 is the year Darius takes things back to basics, sure he will be doing the big festival shows & continue the DO NOT SLEEP residency all over the world, which includes North, South America tours, as well as Asia / Asutralia & all over Europe
