Italian duo Len Vitz and Charlie Iapicone debut on Hot Creations with ‘Playhouse’, backed by a remix from  Cologne favourite Kolter.  

Featuring as two young talents rising from the Italian house scene, Len Vitz and Charlie Iapicone are gearing up  for their biggest release to date following a series of EPs across recent years. Joining forces for the first time to  rework Ann Peebles’ 1972 soul hit ‘I’m Gonna Tear Your Playhouse Down’, they debut on Hot Creations with their  collaboration ‘Playhouse’ - backed by a stellar remix from Cologne-based DJ/producer and label boss, Kolter. 

“The EP was born by chance, an experiment which turned out successful. It’s a mixture of sounds and  recordings accompanied by a taste of vintage soul music.” - Len Vitz.  

Harnessing the original production’s resonant vocals and funk-fuelled riffs, ‘Playhouse’ brings a 70’s classic to  modern dancefloors as slick drums and slinking bass grooves reveal a track made for memorable moments. On  the flip, Kolter’s remix brings an additional slice of vigour and energy as he utilises signature chords and skippy  percussion to shape up proceedings.

After a busy eighteen months promoting his debut album, Essex-hailer Max Chapman brings us his La Fiesta EP on Hot Creations. The title track features alongside remixes by the versatile Luca Cazal and house veteran Todd Terry.

With Latin vibes from the outset, Max has encompassed the essence of The White Isle. La Fiesta is a  migration of percussion, chanting and melodic vocals and flirtatious basslines. Luca Cazal has turned up the kick and brings an old school vibe with his remix. Todd Terry’s energetic arrangement of snares and bongos compliments the provencal vocal perfectly.

Since his arrival on the scene six years ago, Max Chapman has released on an abundance of labels including VIVa, Toolroom and last years Body Jack on Elrow, that achieved number one status across all genres on Beatport. Established in 2012, his imprint Resonance Records provides a platform for the freshest talent in underground tech-house. Max’s album Catch Me If You Can, released last year, received a notable 9/10 in both Mixmag and DJ Mag.

Luca Cazal has been steadily rising up the ranks since his debut release on Crosstown Rebels in 2013. Constantly refining his production skills, Luca transmits positive emotions with every track he releases. After three decades on the scene, Grammy-nominated Legend Todd Terry has continued to release  superior productions and entertain crowds worldwide.

“reaching any top 10 chart doesn’t interest me nor is it the purpose of this label,
I feel there is a big shift at the moment with too much generic tech house being put out on the market,Too much music is sounding the same & there seems to be a distinct lack of Depth in music aimed at the Dance floor, i want to show with this label that underground music can still be for the dance floor, it doesnt have to be Generic.

This is the answer Darius gave in recent interview when asked why is he starting Moxy Muzik

* THE MOXY MUZIK LABEL

Moxy Muzik will have Bespoke hand drawn art for each Vinyl release & Darius has been working with renounced artist Charlotte Archer making sure each release has individual art.

These artists have been carefully hand picked & the purpose of the label is to bring quality House & Techno that is aimed at the Dance floor, Music that can be heard in 10 or 15 years & still be enjoyed rather than music that is aimed at reaching a top 10 chart of a current fad, as Darius explains

The first release on the label is the EP ‘Dance of the Shaman’ by Darius Himself
a Hypnotic track that has an unorthodox method of using an organ as the main baseline, it’s a turbo charged left field house cut with rubbery bass running alongside slick driving drums. The infectious groove is full of late night soul and chords stabs & is littered with plenty of human emotions.

There are 3 remixes with Me Me Me label boss Man Power delivers a 13 min remix that has all the ingredients of becoming timeless classic for those that like quality deep house music that uses chords and keys to deliver a lush remix that would easily be one of the main tracks had this been on someones artist album. The legendary Doc Martin then strips things back further and layers in some steamy female vocals to his remix and East End Dubz delivers a remix that will have all the fans of the Romanian Techno sound frothing at the mouth.

MOXY MUZIK is a sol project while Darius still continues DONOTSLEEP with the rest of the DNS team
DONOTSLEEP had another huge Ibiza summer this time at Amnesia, a party that saw Darius play alongside artists such as

* THE MOXY MUZIK RESIDENCY

So as the Label is launched, Darius is doing a series of parties across the uk & abroad to coincide with the Launch of the label, 
these are ALL going to be all night long or 6 hour sets, and to be ONLY held in CLUBS. as well as starting a Monthly residency at Joshua Brooks in Manchester.
the purpose of this is to take ‘CLUBBING BACK TO CLUBS’ and at the same time, play long extended sets

Having agreed to play a 6hr set at Joshua Brooks Manchester in June, the event sold out in under 24 hours off the back of Darius tweeting a ticket link, before any artwork or even an event page was created, such was demand their was another date added the following week which also sold out
The atmosphere was electric & this led Darius to plan on a residency in 2019

So 2019 is the year Darius takes things back to basics, sure he will be doing the big festival shows & continue the DO NOT SLEEP residency all over the world, which includes North, South America tours, as well as Asia / Asutralia & all over Europe
