Born and bred New Yorker Jean Pierre is stepping out with his own brand new label, Pakate. The vinyl-only outlet kicks off with a fantastic first EP from FLETCH featuring remixes from Pierre himself and Franco Cinelli. This exciting new label will be an outlet for Jean and other friends to serve up mature and minimal sounds focused around unique designs and powerful grooves. Dealing in heady underground sounds that also work on larger dance floors, the label comes after Pierre has spent 15 years entrenched in the electronic scene. This is his way to carefully curate his own music exactly how he wants to, with three releases already lined up for 2021. Closing out the package is a Jean Pierre remix of 'Want Me' that shows off his ability to lay down stripped-back but compelling house grooves with deft sound design and a freaky atmosphere.

Ramin Rezaie opens the year with a return to his Silky Records imprint alongside UK duo Prok | Fitch as the trio delivers two impactful cuts across their collaborative 'Disco Trip' EP.

Emerging as one of Solid Grooves' most-loved residents into an artist in his own right, with his 'clean cut, silky beats' shaping his sound, Ramin Rezaie is continuing to evolve as an exciting DJ/producer on the ascent after also adding the title of label boss in early 2023 with the launch of Silky Records. Returning to home turf after a brief hiatus following the release of his slick track 'Ear Candy' in March of last year, early February welcomes the fourth instalment and the first collaboration on the imprint as the label boss links up with fellow Solid Grooves artists Prok | Fitch for two fresh productions across their 'Disco Trip' EP.

Skippy and vibrant, title track 'Disco Trip' takes cues from its title as sweeping strings leads meet an abundance of disco-tinged funk and slinking percussion for a bright cut set to command dancefloors, while 'Take It Back' veers towards late-hour territories guided by dubby chord stabs, hazy melodies and crisp drums to close the show.

Darius Syrossian's Moxy Muzik label continues to roll out the goods with a new one from mainstay artist Steve Lawler. His original comes with a dub version and a remix from Fuse founder Enzo Siragusa. Warriors boss Lawler has long been rocking underground dance floors around the world, previously releasing on quality record labels such as Rekids, Yoshitoshi, Drumcode, Moon Ovum, Cocoon, & as a DJ the man needs no introduction. One of the few djs who has stayed at the very top of the game touring the world for over two decades. K'Trip is built on rock solid drums, with loopy sub bass and dark vocals that keep on pulling you in as slick percussion peels off the beats. The dub version pairs things back to the killer drum programming and popping bass to really make the floor go off. Enzo Siragusa is on remix duty and has become synonymous with dubbed out, paired down house in his own music, but also the cult FUSE parties he hosts. He showcases that slick, stylish signature sound here with a superb remix that has deft and trippy synths doing a dance over the tightly knotted drums. The whole thing journeys late into a cosmic night and will take the whole club with it. After three releases all being a huge hit, this is set to be yet another sure fire winner from Darius Syrossian's Moxy Muzik Label.

“reaching any top 10 chart doesn’t interest me nor is it the purpose of this label,
I feel there is a big shift at the moment with too much generic tech house being put out on the market,Too much music is sounding the same & there seems to be a distinct lack of Depth in music aimed at the Dance floor, i want to show with this label that underground music can still be for the dance floor, it doesnt have to be Generic.

This is the answer Darius gave in recent interview when asked why is he starting Moxy Muzik

Moxy Muzik will have Bespoke hand drawn art for each Vinyl release & Darius has been working with renounced artist Charlotte Archer making sure each release has individual art.

The first release on the label is the EP ‘Dance of the Shaman’ by Darius Himself
a Hypnotic track that has an unorthodox method of using an organ as the main baseline, it’s a turbo charged left field house cut with rubbery bass running alongside slick driving drums. The infectious groove is full of late night soul and chords stabs & is littered with plenty of human emotions.

There are 3 remixes with Me Me Me label boss Man Power delivers a 13 min remix that has all the ingredients of becoming timeless classic for those that like quality deep house music that uses chords and keys to deliver a lush remix that would easily be one of the main tracks had this been on someones artist album. The legendary Doc Martin then strips things back further and layers in some steamy female vocals to his remix and East End Dubz delivers a remix that will have all the fans of the Romanian Techno sound frothing at the mouth.

MOXY MUZIK is a sol project while Darius still continues DONOTSLEEP with the rest of the DNS team
DONOTSLEEP had another huge Ibiza summer this time at Amnesia, a party that saw Darius play alongside artists such as

So as the Label is launched, Darius is doing a series of parties across the uk & abroad to coincide with the Launch of the label, 
these are ALL going to be all night long or 6 hour sets, and to be ONLY held in CLUBS. as well as starting a Monthly residency at Joshua Brooks in Manchester.
the purpose of this is to take ‘CLUBBING BACK TO CLUBS’ and at the same time, play long extended sets

Having agreed to play a 6hr set at Joshua Brooks Manchester in June, the event sold out in under 24 hours off the back of Darius tweeting a ticket link, before any artwork or even an event page was created, such was demand their was another date added the following week which also sold out
The atmosphere was electric & this led Darius to plan on a residency in 2019

So 2019 is the year Darius takes things back to basics, sure he will be doing the big festival shows & continue the DO NOT SLEEP residency all over the world, which includes North, South America tours, as well as Asia / Asutralia & all over Europe
