A Very Good Reason was a CD recorded in Paris in 1991, recorded at Studio Sextam, a production by Association Orixás, and the first with authoral music by Mozar Terra, along with compositions by his friends Kzam Gama and Amado Maita. The pre-production and synthetizer programming were done by Marcelo Paganini. 
It was a CD he hid from his fellow musicians when he moved back to Brazil in 1993, as he suffered a serious economic setback due to promises that weren't held by the responsible person behind the executive production. 
Nevertheless, it has the sound of Mozar Terra in Paris end 1980's start 1990's, so it should also be here, in my (the daughters) opinion, and since the name of the cd refers to a composition he wrote to me and he isn't alive to oppose, I am taking that liberty.

Live recording from concert with the São Paulo Jazz Symphonic Orchester, in São Paulo,  playing Mozar Terra's music, arranged by him and the Orchester leader for the occasion (who's name I don't have), a work of several month that actually made the ex-smoker (he had quite for a reasonable time, like at least half a year or maybe even some years) start smoking again. It was probably the peak of Mozar's carrier, about 3-4 month before he got his lung cancer diagnosed and under a year before his death. 
He described the work towards it as a great challenge, but also a huge honor

recordings given by Beto Di Franco to Mozar Terra's last  great love, Claudia Adami, also the owner of the former Bar Atlantico and now Restaurante Capitano do Atlantico in Ilhabela (with the Capitano, her husband), where the recordings might have taken place (but surely it was somewhere in Ilhabela SP, Brazil). The recordings just crossed the Atlantic via whatsapp to land on the Soundcloud... Isn't it poetic?  please help tagging the names of the songs and composers if you know them!!!

When Mozar Terra died in 2006, he left a bunch of tapes and recordings, besides the one CD of his compositions, Caderno de Composição, released on the Maritaca Label. 

The Maritaca Label owner, and his great friend, Léa Freire, as well as his last love, Claudia Adami, made sure that Mozars musical belongings would be kept safe, and eventually shipped to Denmark by his last wife, Denise or given to his daughter Moema, when she would live in Brazil.
Léa Freire and Maritaca Label are to be thanked for the digitalization of all those K7 as well as the digitalization of his note sheets, that she put Sidney Ferraz in charge of.
The tracks posted here are supposed to be solely of Mozar Terras compositions, or his arrangements, of live recordings of him playing and/or links to recordings of musicians, who later recorded their versions of his compositions.
It is possible that some tracks will be recordings of other peoples music and/or released by other labels than Maritaca, or that the owner of the recording session is unknown. For example there is a CD recorded in early 1990's where the label died.
