In New Mexico, near the red dust hills,
Where silence hangs like a spell,
He clocks in at dawn at the cloud factory—
Punches the sky like a bell.

While he walks like a king
In a kingdom of cloud.

He swears there’s a system for lightning,
That fog hums in D minor key.

He’s been writing since '93.

Just a ladder leaning with pride,
And a thermos full of chamomile steam
