"Waking up … looking at The Skyline … my hometown … and just like that, a month gone & the tour pulling into The Station. We made record time yesterday … a mind boggling 3h47m show on a day without a hotel because we strategized that driving after the show to NYC was the only guarantee not to be undone by Key Bridge disaster traffic. And we were wise, though crispy to have done it. We made record time … 3 hours door to door … caught in the draft of 2 Mustangs going 100 on the NJTP, lol.
It says a lot about THESE musicians. Not one of the fans would have minded us playing a shorter show to get on the road sooner … but the band were not thinking about anything that happens later … they were in the flow … the moment, and that moment lasted 3h47m.
The band played LONGER than the time it took to drive DC > NY.
It really has been special … the camaraderie, the shenanigans, most of all your love & support … packed houses … and The Music.
We reconvene in Chicagoland in 12 days, with Steve Kimock subbing for Les Dudek … let that sink in. Rest assured, when we resume (maybe August … definitely October) Les will be with us.

The amphitheater opened in 1987 as Nautica Stage and was renamed Scene Pavilion in 2003, following renovations that included the addition of a canopy.

Seating approximately 5,000, the venue offers bleacher and festival seating with a view of the Cuyahoga River, the lights of downtown Cleveland and the picturesque lighted bridges of the area, and typically holds 20 to 30 events with the concert season beginning in late spring, going through the summer, and ending in early fall.

The AKRON CIVIC THEATRE is a 2,600 seat venue perfect for music concerts,
performance theater, comedy, and other events. Since its opening, the theater has been “The Jewel on Main Street” in downtown Akron and has evolved into a robust, active cultural center for Akron and Summit County.

The theater was built in 1929 by Marcus Loew and designed by famed theater architect, John Eberson. The interior structure was fashioned after a Moorish castle featuring Mediterranean decor, including medieval carvings, authentic European antiques and Italian alabaster sculptures.

Among facilities of its size, the Civic is one of only five remaining atmospheric theaters in the country where patrons experience a twinkling star-lit sky and intermittent clouds moving across the horizon, all while sitting inside the auditorium.
