MPathy makes his solo voice heard for the first time with an established and rousing first EP. Having already shown his caliber as a dj/producer working as one half of ʻIʼm Fineʼ, MPathy is eager to push off in his own direction to continue to challenge and provoke existing concepts of making unique and forward thinking music. With so much more to come from this young artist, "Iʼm Yours" is testament to the philosophy that drives MPathy forward.

Title track "I'm Yours" is cradled with the seductive vocals of Amy Capilari. Pressing and pushing as the track drives on, MPathy weaves teasing percussion and haunting atmospheric synth work through a bouncing bassline. Rich with emotion and steeped with provocativeness, makes for a serene groove that does not fall short of hypnotising.

Fellow labelman Soul Button has his way with one of two remixes featured on the EP. A surging beat is tamed by gentle piano chords that fall gracefully upon a strong bassline.

David Jach is responsible for the second with a tantalizing and ever harassing remix as distorted vocals are layered over progressive groove and nudging sample work.

MPathy rounds things off with the devilishly endearing ʻSerenaʼ. Swaying synth chords are brushed on as if by an artist with his palette and easel and gentle pad work adds to the texture of this thought provoking and melancholic track. Perfect for those reflective Sunday afternoons.

Strength in unity is what is shown here by the Steyeyoke crew, as they follow up the success of Family Affair Vol.1 with another bundle of tracks that warrant their passion for making top notch house music. Family Affair Vol.2 features 7 remixes from the Steyoyoke artists on some of the labels most popular originals to have been released over the last few months.

The first remix pairs two of the labels most accomplished artists together. Dahu leaves Soul Buttonʼs enigmatic ʻCome To Meʼ hypnotised by a powerful bassline. Teasing hi-hats and charged synth work that sways from left to right starts the Steyoyoke Family Affair show with a bang.

Soul Button adds purpose and drive to Florian Rietzeʼs downtempo treasure ʻTreibholzʼ. A delicately balanced original keeps its subtle undertones of desolation, but finds meaning with a progressive and ever giving groove. Haunting vocals by BLANCAh are introduced to add to the texture.

Rising with grace and ease, ʻNeeding Youʼ is shot high into the stratosphere by Sasch. A rousing remix that is full to the brim with heart and emotion, sees tidy synth work washing over an alluring analog groove as persistent vocal stabs echo sentiment.

Sasch follows up again with another endearing remix, this time at the hands MPathyʼs ʻSerenaʼ. Using playful percussion samples that frivolously dashes between a rolling 4/4 beat, Sasch builds this remix into a track that puts the heat onto any dancefloor.

An eerie remix of Saschʼs ʻHearts & Mindsʼ comes courtesy of MPathy. A persistent beat is locked down and provoked by rushing synths that swarm around a melting pot of eccentric wind instrument sounds.

Florian Rietze contrasts the reflective and dreamy nature of ʻThe Keepersʼ with a heavy bassline and sharpened off-beat cymbals to shape a direction of intent. Florian Rietze produces an accomplished remix on one of Steyoyokeʼs most successful releases.

Soul Button whips up a fierce remix of ʻDynamoʼ, as he sets alight this subdued love affair. A strong kick drum accompanied by rising and falling synth work helps move the track with urgency as it builds through the phases.

This time the whole Steyoyoke Family - Soul Button, Sasch, Florian Rietze, MPathy and Dahu - will send you on a sensational music journey, accompanied by some of the most established DJ’s and music producers in the electronic music scene. 

Special Guest on the night will be Scotland’s most popular electronic dance music producer duo, Silicone Soul.
Since their first appearance on the Label ‘Soma Recordings’ in 1998, the duo gathered great respect within the electronic music scene. Apart from that the duo has produced remixes for ‘Schartrax’, ‘Roger Sanchez’ and ‘Röyksopp’ and have founded their own record Label ‘Darkroom Dubs’, where artist like ‘Swimming Pool’, ‘Silver City’ or ‘Wulf’n Flow’ have released their tracks. We are sure that the depth and quality of Silicone Soul’s sound will captivate all your senses and leave you with an indescribable music experience. 

Another special guest on the Steyoyoke House Odyssey will be Larsson. He definitely is one of these DJ’s that knows how to combine different music styles that automatically transform the dance floor into a atmosphere of magic. 

Last but not least Marc Poppcke joins us on our music journey.
Marc gained some of his first experiences in the electronic scene as a Resident DJ of one of Hannover’s most popular electronic music Clubs, ‘H.de.M’. As a solo artist and label owner (Crossfrontier Audio) he has gained great support from some of the biggest heavy weights in the electronic music scene.

The Steyoyoke family will be brushing the sand of its skin for the next couple of months, as they prepare to migrate south for the winter to Brazil. In wake of this landmark occasion Steyoyoke will be encapsulating the vibes in a special ‘Steyoyoke In Brazil’ EP to be released in December. The EP is made up of five original tracks from the family members and will also feature the winning track of the musicians Steyoyoke in Brazil contest.

Florian Rietze picks the baton up first as he sets things off with the ethereal ‘Desterro’. Gentle padwork creates the impression of lights blinking off and on again as the beat shuttles along an engaging rhythm. Distant vocal samples help create atmosphere and depth in this dreamy affair.

Hypnotizing vocals from BLANCAh stand at the forefront of the electric ‘Vendavais’. MPathy creates a landscape that is rich with atmosphere, where water meets the land and the wind creates the tone. Teasing Brazilian percussion samples come and go against a humming bassline.

Soul Button flirts between the more placid side of Brazilian life and the get up and go ‘carnival’ way of doing things. ‘Inspiração’ encapsulates the latin american flavour, endearing windchimes and ambient beach samples breakdown into a fiesta of rhythm and percussion.

As the title may suggest, Dahu has not held back in giving ‘Psicodélica’ a touch of psychedelic to it. A quirky vocal sample sets the tone, as energetic synth chords race across the board to deliver purpose. Tipping exquisitely over the edge, Dahu serves up a track that is ready for the floor.

Having the final say on matters is Sasch, with his well balanced funky anthem ‘Agora’. Building with perfection, Sasch has mastered a real eccentric beauty with this one right here. Broken guitar strings fling off into the distance as a bassy vocal harmony imposes more and more.

In the blink of an eye Steyoyoke finds itself approaching its second birthday. A lot has changed since the label first emerged on the scene and tremendous strides have been taken in becoming a label to reckoned with on the scene. In mark of such efforts the label has put together its second Anniversary EP, featuring four remixes from four top artists on some of the labels highlights of the last year.

‘Play Again’ was the title track and seducer of Soul Button’s engaging EP release earlier last year. Pete Oak’s remix of this gritty affair carries the same devilish charm and attitude as the original but with an added pinch. Gravitating around those, Pete Oaks remix packs a punch with couple of heavy drops.

Patrick Podage takes aim next with a well balanced remix of Florian Rietze’s ‘Treibholz’. A thunderous bassline surges this downtempo treasure into life, sending the elements scattering across a progressive and steady groove. Contrasting strings keep the raw emotion within this dreamy landscape.

Brazilian pair Flow & Zeo take a strong hand to Soul Button and Sasch’s collaborative work ‘Little People’. What was once a track that held a delicate touch, now holds charge as it moves with purpose and alarm. Rising and falling with precision, Flow & Zeo produce a rollercoaster of a remix.

Wrapping things up is Stevie R and Ian Mckenzie’s remix of MPathy’s provocative ‘I’m Yours’. Emerging slowly out the blocks, the remix builds to become the eccentric jewel in the crown. Notes that appear drunk as they dance between a steady groove make this a quirky adventure for the ears. Maintaining the same enticing vocals and original tribal percussion help keep the heat.

All tracks will be available on vinyl from the 14th of February and in digital on the 10th of March with the additional Pete Oak dub remix of ‘Play Again’. The 14th of March will see the label hitting Ritter Butzke to celebrate their second birthday coinciding with the release of the Anniversary EP. All featuring artists will be playing their part in showing that there is still plenty more to come from Steyoyoke.

During its first 8 weeks of existence, Steyoyoke Black has effortlessly earned its place as a sister label for Steyoyoke Recordings. So now that Steyoyoke Black is officially launched and enjoying some very early success, it’s time for another label party to welcome the new sub label.

Bringing both Black and White together under the same roof with two dance floors, is an exceptional concept that is sure to bring the Steyoyoke love and vibe. The party will take place at Kosmonaut on December 26th and with so many things to celebrate, this double label night will be a mile stone event not to be missed.

Bringing the essence of all things dark to the ‘Black Room’ line up, is Skena + Whomi (back to back), as well as Pete Oak, Nick Devon and Dahu. Fronting up for the ‘White Room’ will be Soul Button, Talul and MPathy. We are super excited for this event and hope to see all the usual faces, as well as some new ones too. The Berlin-based innovative duo I’m Fine and the well-known Antonio Olivieri drop their first EP “If I were music” on the brand new house label Steyoyoke.

To guarantee a special debut, the artists combine their love for natural instruments and mature sounds to create a new and exceptional electronic music experience.

The release presents three tracks which carry you in a groovy dense and catchy club atmosphere:

“If I were music” comes deep from the heart of good old House Music and almost feels like time travel. The producers merge low-pitched vocals with deep synth pads and a bumpy bass line. The track revives the extraordinary time in Chicago when house music saw the light of the day.

“Your Ghost” makes the sun rise. It has a great and interesting atmosphere right from the beginning that carries throughout the whole track. Pictures of spring, birds and holiday come to mind, enjoy!

“Do not care”, makes you shake your body. A hot and mellow dance floor track with a stomping beat combined with natural instruments such as hang and dobro, create an atmosphere you only know from old western movies.

With his distinctly beautiful debut EP ‘Treibholz’, the talented dj and producer Florian Rietze is welcomed into the Steyoyoke family with open arms. Isolated melodies drift ever closer to the beat to evoke a sense of melancholy with the opening title track ‘Treibholz’. Florian effortlessly weaves together refined and at times surprising sounds to conjure up an almost dream like state. Gracefully building throughout, ‘Treibholz’ is a downtempo treasure to keep for those somber moments as spring struggles to shake off winter.

‘Treibhaus’ is an embracing and emotionally haunting track that lingers within the heart. The love of house music runs deep through the Steyoyoke family and this latest release is not shy to show it. Taking some of the labels shining stars from the past year, Steyoyoke artists have been given the chance to remix their fellow family members tracks. Family Affair 01 is a salute to the unity shown within the label and proves that there is still so much love to give from Steyoyoke.

Starting things off is Bartokʼs remix of Dahuʼs dark and enigmatic ʻDeep In The Woodsʼ anthem. Bartok holds onto some of the mystery, though he twists and turns through the woods to conjure up an all the more driven step and finds itself coming to a clearing.

Bartokʼs ʻCherriesʼ was a provocative and alluring house anthem that left you wanting more and to remix such a gem would take a brave soul, step up Soul Button. Keeping still the signature vocals, Soul Button lifts Cherries higher with rushing synth chords falling into the beat.

Sasch puts a strong hand to Iʼm Fine and Antonio Olivieriʼs summer anthem - ʻIf I Were Musicʼ. Rising from the dark, Sasch comes out fighting with a persistent groove that keeps going until youʼve had enough.

The young dj and producer Dahu gives his take on Antonio Olivieriʼs ʻRudimentsʼ with an uplifting remix of the original foot stomper. Rich with soul and raw with emotion, Dahu tantalizes with unique and surprising synths and sounds.

ʻMarianʼ by Sasch was a track that found itself lifting the hearts of many patrons to the dancefloor. Antonio Olivieriʼs remix delivers with an engaging beat and a teasing spanish guitar sample that lifts you high beyond the clouds.

Steyoyokeʼs newest family member Florian Rietze is given the task of remixing I'm Fine and Antonio Olivieriʼs - ʻYour Ghostʼ. Florian shows no sign of being the youngest within the family with what is a very mature remix. Seductively dark, but still tender and gentle.

Closing the curtain on this first Family Affair is MPathy with a weighty punch behind Soul Buttonʼs classic - ʻShadowsʼ. Filled to the brim with energy and heart, MPathy highlights the passion and evermore giving challenge of delivering only the finest house music.

Taking place at the popular Berlin nightclub Gretchen, the 31st of May Midnight in Berlin is where its at.

Deep house label crew Steyoyoke will be bringing the purest and most underground house music to Gretchen as they are handed control of room 2. Though Steyoyoke has only been around for one year, label frontmen Soul Button, MPathy and Antonio Olivieri will be demonstrating just how far they have come.

Berlin based DJ/Producer, MPathy, developed a strong interest for electronic music at a very young age. Growing up in the city of Berlin he was highly influenced by the electronic music scene in the 90’s. He later spent a couple of years in Chicago and also in Shanghai where he got involved with the local electronic music scenes, which ultimately shaped his outlook on electronic music today. 

With Techno music and DJing being his greatest passion for a long time, he started to work on his own productions in 2008. Since then he has produced Techno, Tech-House and Minimal music for various record labels.
After finishing his audio engineering studies in 2012 he joined the Berlin based Ethereal Techno label Steyoyoke. MPathy is responsible for the first and most successful Steyoyoke release in collaboration with Antonio Olivieri, ‘If I Were Music’. He played gigs all over Europe, Brazil and Africa and shared the decks with Oxia, Coeus, BLANCAh, Rauschhaus and Ran Salman, just to name a few.

MPathy is eager to push off in his own direction to continue to both challenge and provoke existing concepts of making unique and forward thinking music.
