"I Don’t Wanna Fall in Love" is the first taste of this new passion project from M-Phazes, taking time out to experiment with new production techniques; blending them with inspiration drawn from the likes of Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Teddy Riley, DeVante Swing, Timbaland and a host of classic 90's RnB pioneers.

I Don't Wanna Fall In Love

M-Phazes has returned to offer up ‘Is It Good To You’, the second release from his new and highly successful side project – Camden Arc. This time, the award-winning producer has enlisted the co-production expertise of long time friend and collaborator 10A (Winner of the Australasian Invitational Beat Battle VIC 2014). 

‘Is It Good To You’ confirms the musical tip Camden Arc is on. Heavy synths and Chicago juke influenced keys pound this revisited acappella, breathing new life into Teddy Riley & Tammy Lucas' contribution to the 1991 urban cult classic ‘Juice’ movie soundtrack.
 
The success of Camden Arc’s first release ‘I Don’t Wanna Fall In Love’ received an influx of international & local blog support (Pigeons&Planes, FasterLouder & triple j’s Home and Hosed), giving rise for Camden Arc to further coast the path of his rather unexpected venture. With backing from a global network of musicians and fans, it could not be more obvious that there is a mandate for more music from Camden Arc.

Camden Arc - Is It Good To You

‘90s Music’ pays homage to the decade of pure pop, with Kimbra’s high pitched vocals reiterating how sickly sweet the 1990s could be. M-Phazes’ interpretation of the original begins with an RnB vibe that slowly melts into thumping Miami bass, sprinkled with a handful of samples to send the audience on a vivid trip down memory lane.
  
M-Phazes’ rework is both nostalgic and futuristic. Building on the synth loaded, hyper-coloured original, a progression of smooth drum claps and finger snaps have been added, forming a sound you’d hear in a Harijuku DDR arcade.
 
The remix is one born out of divine chaos, leaving the listener wanting their 90’s wardrobe back and a one-way ticket to Tokyo.

Cancer has become so prevalent these days that we all know at least one person, if not more, battling the disease. Recognizing this fact, Brooklyn Indie hip-hop label, Coalmine Records seeks to help spread awareness of the disease and raise funds to go toward the American Cancer Society's ongoing fight to find a cure.
Coalmine sought out some of the genre's best talents to record a song that emphasizes celebrating life. Backed by uplifting, piano-led production from M-Phazes, the appropriately titled "Beautiful" features verses from hip-hop heavyweight Talib Kweli, burgeoning star Big K.R.I.T., and up-and-coming rapper-singer Outasight.
Together, the MCs provide the inspirational rhymes that build into Mela Machinko's spirit-raising hook that stresses that "life is beautiful." Further driving that message home are four cancer survivors -- CeeCee, Shawn Tesser, Salman Qadar and Wilmer Wise -- who speak on the intro and outro of the track.
