Manchester-based Producer Pitch 92 graces us with a fresh take on “Submerge”, his recent collaborative album with Jerome Thomas, presenting a reimagined selection of its instrumentals. “Pop - Beat Edit” is the first single.

With production embodying golden age swing and soul despite his youth, Pitch 92 is etching his own path into the modern hip hop landscape. Born in Dublin in 1992, Pitch grew up in Germany and Switzerland where the sounds of Madlib and Dilla fired his neurons and heart. Surrounded by creativity in the guise of close friends ASM (A State Of Mind), the crew got him to pick up his first MPC at age 12, graduating from the SP 303 sampler he was already familiar with.

Pitch moved to the UK in 2008 and quickly embedded himself into the Manchester hip hop scene. He met The Mouse Outfit and began playing MPC live along with the band – before long, he was a core element in the studio, his jazzy boom bap the nucleus of the first two Mouse Outfit albums, Escape Music (2013) and Step Steadier (2015).

Producing and touring Europe with the Mice for seven years, Pitch departed in 2017 to pursue a solo career. He has since released with renowned labels High Focus and First Word Records.

Michael Benedikt reveals Square, part of his upcoming project. The Swiss musician and instrumentalist, known for his involvement in several projects such as Philipp Fankhauser, Lucerne Jazz Orchestra, and Swiss Jazz Orchestra, presents his new single following his EP Monday Groove, released on Jazz Alley last year. Square is a mellow and dreamy jazz track filled with melodious flute and piano notes, complemented by subtle percussion, creating a rich and immersive listening experience.

Kofi Stone on a FloFilz beat: this is jazz rap royalty. The UKs finest & most soulful independent MC teams up with German jazz beat maestro FloFilz. After exchanging beats, bars & texts for ages this is their first official collabo. 
 
“I wrote this track upon reflection of a friend that passed - I wanted to tell his story here," Kofi explains. "I’ve been friends with FloFilz for a few years now, and it’s an honour to work with him on this. If anybody’s ever felt loss, I hope they can find comfort in this song.” 
 
FloFilz’s forthcoming ‘Dim Down’ EP will release on 4th April on 10’’ vinyl and digital. On the project he shares: “The featured artists being from the UK happened organically, as I’m very inspired by that scene and even made a London related album called ‘Transit’ before. My partner also lives in London, and we love discovering new artists and going to local concerts and festivals.”
