Wrote this song on my parents kitchen countertop in 2022 alone one night while house sitting for them. For me this song was about a couple things. One, being in my parents house and having grown up there. The idea of them moving and loosing that house in the future was real sad to me and I was feeling anxious about that idea.

Second, I was having a hard time w the idea of being in a relationship and letting go of that freedom of flying solo..and continuing to get my heart hurt again...While at the same time wanting a partner in life to share all the craziness with. So..

Last month my parents moved and I had to say goodbye to that house they lived in for 31 years. I was on a bus tour at the time. Also, after making this song I met the girl of my dreams like 3 weeks later and now we live together. 

The Moral, I guess, is that it will be ok. Even in those lonely nights where we don't feel ready for whats to come or cant stop thinking about the future in a negative light. It will be ok and you are ready. Only thing we need to let go of is the negative thoughts and anxieties. Easier said than done, but I believe in you. Hope this song connects w you and can help if your in a mind set similar.
