On March 31 2010 mps PILOT was at the Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ in Amsterdam as part of the World Minimal Music Festival. He had the honour to hang out with the legendary Steve Reich to present him a Future Takamba remix created in the 22sessions for 22Tracks.com. 
Future Takamba is the project of mps PILOT and the famous Super Onze, from Gao, Mali playing a mix of sub saharan and western electronical music and images. www.futuretakamba.com.

Amongst the other remixers were Full Crate, Gomes, Individualism and Presk. 
They all created a unique and completely different remix, on the spot at the WMMF.

In April 2008 mps PILOT ventured to Cairo to work with Mazaher, a female trance group performing "Zar', healing rituals. Mazaher perform weekly in Centre Nass Makan, THE centre for traditional egyptian music, based in Cairo. Mazaher is quite special. First because the group is mainly female (an exception in any music type) and second because Egyptian culture is heavily dominated by Arab influences. Sufism & Zar are very common but not in the open. Zar is healing music, its purpose is locating negative energy, mental problems, bloccades and releasing / transforming that into positive energy or simply a release. mps PILOT joined them in a Zar music performance with Laptop, controllers & samples. The aim was not to try to force the Zar sound to modern beats. It would lead to a spasmodic situation. With his electronics mps PILOT tries to transport Zar music to the future.

Adzagli /Jungle Funk (Kofi Ayivor) was originally released as a vinyl EP in a limited edition in 1982 in the Netherlands which Kofi recorded in 1979 at at the then state-of-the-art 24 track Island Studios in London The original track is an example of what Kofi himself jocularly referred to as "disco boogie". The digitally remastered Adzagli (Jungle Funk) was taken from the album Rhythmology (Otrabanda Records OTB06) that collects many rare or previously unreleased tracks of Kofi Ayivor's own compositions as well as a cross-section of the incredible variety of genres to which he has lent his unique drumming talent. Remixers Streamer and mps PILOT brush up the old tune and juggle with the multi-track master of vintage afro-sound.
