[07/04/2024] Ramadan Night 29 - By Abu Khadeejah at Masjid Salafi.

- Ḥadīth #17: ‘Abdullāh b. ‘Amr al-‘Āṣ (رضى الله عنهما) narrated, “I heard Allāh’s Messenger ﷺ say, ‘Allāh does not take away knowledge by stripping it away from the hearts of the people but He takes it away through the death of the scholars to the point that there does not remain a scholar. Then the people will take as their leaders the ignorant ones. When questions are posed to them they give fatāwā without knowledge, so they go astray and lead the people astray.’”
- ‘Umar b. ‘Abdul-‘Azīz’s [d. 101H] instruction to Abū Bakr b. Ḥazm (رحمهما الله) to write down ḥadīth due to his fear that knowledge will vanish.
- The end result of the disappearance of the scholars and callers to Allāh.
- The extent of the effect of the loss of knowledge.
