Rachel was once a great friend and accomplice of Mike and Eyebol. However, one day Rachel wandered too far into the darkest corners of the Twinrooms, leading to his fated encounter with a tall, shadowy figure. He wasn't seen again since that day and all that was left of him was an ominous shard, which currently resides in Mike's "Not For Sale" junk pile.

Prior to his disappearance, he wasn't as shady as his friends and, in spite of how his friends acted, had a sense of honor and altruism. That all vanished after he started showing himself again, as he's now significantly more aggressive, belligerent and egotistical - only thinking about preserving his euphoria of lies and fighting off those who dare to try to take it away.

There it is. After all this time. I hope it was worth the wait!

Anyway, during this fight Kris' SOUL will turn green. It will work functionally the same as it did in Undertale, except you'll be able to move the shield diagonally.
Rachel will also be able to attack Kris directly, which means that some attacks will be undodgable.

This fight is also present in the SNOWGRAVE ROUTE, continued from Chapter 2. Toriel will be aiding Kris in that version of the fight and will shield them from any direct attacks from Rachel.

He lives in the "slums" of the Dark World, barely being able to escape the wrath of V and his henchmen with his Partner-In-Crime named Eyebol; a far departure from his golden days as a hot shot grifter.

The weird route continues into future chapters in my take. Chapter 3's weird route revolves around Toriel as she falsely believes that her motherly instincts kicked in, all thanks to Kris, of course.
The route is kicked off similarly to how Undertale's genocide route kicks off - By killing a lot of enemies, however, the route afterwards truly starts when Toriel turns V to ash.
(Susie is present for most of the route, only ever thinking that Toriel is just really weird) ((she's not present for the Bishop fight though))

Which leads us to the Bishop fight. The fight is relatively short and is meant as Bishop's last hurrah to "take down that damn monster".
Kris' manipulation of Toriel crescendos during Rachel's boss fight when Toriel quite literally takes hits from Kris onto herself.


But to end this off, I'll leave you with a little "fyi":
The events of each chapter's weird routes have no lasting impact on future chapters, as all Lightners involved seemingly forget what happened the next day, almost as if what happened in the Dark World never even occurred.
This will be explained later down the line, though for now remember that, at the end of the day, your choices don't matter. :>
