Mr Carefull – Artist Biography
Hailing from the North of England, Mr Carefull (real name Shaun Elliott) has become a prominent force in the UK trance scene. Known for his relentless energy, sharp production skills, and driving, uplifting sound, he’s a name that continues to rise—and one you’ll want to keep a close eye on.

For over seven years, Mr Carefull has been building his reputation from the ground up. Starting out behind the decks at local events and festivals, he quickly learned how to read a crowd and deliver powerful, high-energy sets. That same understanding of momentum and emotion has carried over into his studio work, where he’s developed a signature sound that blends melody, intensity, and atmosphere in all the right places.

With a growing catalogue of releases on respected labels such as Defcon, Digitized, and Blue Soho, his music has caught the attention of some of the scene’s most influential names. His breakout track "Boundless" was picked up and remixed by Ian Standerwick, climbing into the Trackitdown Top 30 and signaling Mr Carefull’s arrival as a serious contender in the trance world.

Following that, "Second to None" gained widespread support, with remixes by Ahmed Romel and a high-octane Ferry Tale Banging Mix that went on to be featured by Armin van Buuren on A State of Trance 594—a major milestone for any trance artist.

His remix portfolio is equally impressive. His rework of Ciro Visone – First Coming on Defcon became a standout, peak-time anthem that perfectly captured his powerful, uplifting style and earned praise across the scene.

On the live front, Mr Carefull has played across the UK at leading events including In Search of Sunrise Tour, Warehouse Project Warm-Up, Fire It Up, Subculture, Digital Society North East, Inprogress, and Rong. With international bookings on the horizon in cities like Amsterdam and Mexico, his global appeal continues to grow.

His monthly radio show, Global Connection, airs on Afterhours.fm every third Tuesday and has attracted a loyal following. The show regularly features guest mixes from leading artists such as The Noble Six, Ahmed Romel, Ian Standerwick, and ReOrder, showcasing the best in uplifting and driving trance.

Mr Carefull’s journey began after attending Gatecrasher at Newcastle Arena in 2007, where seeing legends like Armin van Buuren, Paul Oakenfold, and Erick Morillo lit the spark. That moment turned a passion into a calling—and he's never looked back.
