Hackney Electronica come to Dark Entries with the Synaptic Shadows EP, featuring 5 cuts of acidic rave-inflected wave. Quinn Whalley (Paranoid London), Unai Trotti (Cartulis Music), and Margo Broom (Hermitage Working Studios) formed Hackney Electronica during COVID era. Trotti and Whalley were spending countless hours digging through records and making music during lockdown. As their sound took shape - heavy and hypnotic - they invited Broom to join, cementing the motley trio. The five pieces on Synaptic Shadows explore themes of altered states, late-night cityscapes, and the fine line between pleasure and paranoia. Each track pulses like a memory from the backstreets of Hackney, where the night transforms the city into an electrified maze of fleeting highs and inevitable crashes. The anxious grooves on “H.E. Nuestro Circuito” and “Whispers from the Depths” channel 1980s DIY electronics onto the contemporary dancefloor, while “Efecto Perfecto,” “The One”, and “Nueva Ola” offer breakbeat-laced electro that will keep you dancing until dawn. Housed in a sleeve designed by German Bardo, Synaptic Shadows is more than just a debut release, it’s a journey through the flickering alleys of the mind, where tension and transcendence intertwine.

Meet Regulardisco’s second compilation: bigger and juicier than ever. As always, we aim to showcase the bright side of the Ukrainian electronic scene — one that doesn’t often get the spotlight — while raising funds for the needs of Ukrainian defenders.

This time, alongside Ukrainian artists based both in Ukraine and around the world, we’ve invited some international guests: Hola Olas (Belgium), Martin Zetta (Brazil), and Good Catch (United Kingdom).

This compilation is truly a multi-genre piece, telling a story that flows smoothly from leftfield, rather abstract music to indie dance, with a detailed stop at Italo, space disco, and dark disco. From there, we journey through Chicago house and acid house, before ending with fast, dreamy progressive house seasoned with a breakbeat flavor.

Music reorganisation adept Eden Burns flips Mehr Phett on its head, wonky space-toms complete the package.

Our seventh release reaches out to all who enjoy House with a capital-H. Hot off the heels of their last release on Stones Taro’s NC4K label, Kyoto golden boys Kross Section enter the Super Enjoy family with four prime cuts crafted with tight production, bright musicality and assured composure. Consisting of Keita Sakama and Keiju Shigeta, Kross Section have been steadily making waves across the Japanese scene from their homebase at legendary Kyoto club West Harlem.

Kicking off with slow burning deep roller ‘2AM Cruising’, the EP moves across shades of house with Jersey-flavoured ‘Floating Bubbles’, into the low slung dancefloor chug of ‘Underpath’, and closing out with the soulful ‘Orange Harbor’.
