I still don’t quite understand all that King’s Cross Station stuff, and the blobby horcrux part of Harry thing. And why did Hermione end up marrying Ron? He’s a bit of a berk. I’m sure she could have done better. And why didn’t they utilise the Time Turner more often, ‘cos then it’d be much easier to kill of Voldemort, but only if the goodies had it. And anyone could kill Harry… I don’t know… Malfoy for example, at some point in the future, and the elder wand’s legacy would still live on. Trelawney and Nanny McPhee – the same person! Who’d’ve ever thought it? Did you know that J.K. Rowling is an extra in one of the Quidditch scenes in the film of book 3?..  The books never said anything about Voldemort not having a nose; what’s that all about? Surely he could have magicked one on.
…Unless there’s no such thing as magic…

A Million Fireworks

 Bert's off to the shops again

Budget Airline Love

Baby, sometimes when we're together and your face is glowing in the warmth of the evening sun and all I can hear is the rustle of your dress and the lights are down real low. I look at your inviting eyes and see the reflection of the new moon and it gets me thinking;

And as I wake at night with you beside me baby with the world all still, I look as the sheets gently rise and fall with your every breath. Sometimes you sigh softly as you shift your position and I can tell you're dreaming, probably about me. I watch you and consider;
I guess it depends if their fight is based on land or water
The penguin it would win in water
On land I'm not so sure................................I'd better check it out
Would the swan's strong beak and neck suffice to overcome the penguin
I've taken time to check it out on Google

And when I'm at work away from you baby, if I have the time I look at your photograph on my desk. You know the one where the light catches your smiling eyes, and you look thoughtful and distant. The sandalwood frame brings back fond memories.  My mind drifts;
What if the birds had access to an assortment of weapons

The penguin's higher IQ gives it a technical advantage
But I think the swan might profit

This song is supposed to attempt to look at tyranny and dictatorships (etc) from the point of view of the tyrant - with some degree of empathy, since, having been told their whole lives that they are superhuman, it is to some extent appreciable that they believe it, and find themselves unable to shake off that viewpoint.

A few things to say about this one - firstly this was written as an instrumental that I subsequently added vocals to, which was interesting and somewhat more tricky than expected. I'm very open to criticism on this one, and aware of a number of faults that i just couldn't seem to fix.
Secondly, I'm off to university in a couple of days at which point I suspect my listening and output will drop substantially, but hopefully not completely. It all depends on what university life's like I guess.
Thirdly, I've had a few philosophical chats recently, and decided what better time than when I'm still not great at writing music than to pile all my beliefs into one song - essentially I wanted to put into a song how a lack of any real spiritualism can still be pretty uplifting if you let it.
Fourthly, this was all done when feeling slightly unwell, so if I listen when I feel better before I go, I might be able to make a few minor alterations and improvements, and if I do I'll let you know. Possibly.
