of a time a loved one’s soul left their body.

On this day, eleven years ago,
we lost a loved one who was a king with no crown,
a saint, a friend,
a hellah of a human bein’.

I hope God’s hands were the cards He was dealin’,

I was granted permission
to remember your lessons,
some of them even come with facial expressions.
