Monsieur Grandin commence en 1991 avec un projet solo minimal/techno : «Konoko» qui fera des dates importantes avec notamment Jeff Mils, Derrick May, Richie Hawtin, Chriss Liberator ou encore Carl Cox !
Après cette belle étape, il prendra une autre direction : le hip hop/ abstract avec « Projax » où, toujours en solo, il fera des lives notamment aux côtés d’Amon Tobin, Néotropic, Pest et Sayag Jazz Machine..
Explorant tous les styles musicaux, Monsieur Grandin a su perfectionner ses projets et accroitre ses connaissances musicales...Il entame alors un projet plus ambitieux à cheval entre Trip Hop et Hip Hop : Monsieur Grandin. Un premier album voit le jour, en auto- production : «Mister Dressmaking and the Patchwork Mind » et c’est à cette occasion que le groupe de 3 se forme...
En live, pour rendre vie aux compositions de leur initiateur, Monsieur Grandin est accompagné par 2 musiciens de talents et des images...
La suavité de la voix d’Ornella, la sublime résonnance de l’archet d’Anne (Violoniste issue d’une formation classique), fonctionnent tel un « patchwork band», avec qui Monsieur Grandin réorchestre ses compositions afin de servir au mieux la mise en scène.
Depuis 2 ans, ils présentent désormais un show live
complet qui mêle habilement musique électronique,
musique vivante et projections vidéos avec lequel ils
ont déjà partager l’affiche avec Wax Tailor, Soccaled,
Kid Koala, Dj Krush, Smokey Joe and The Kid mais
aussi La Fine Equipe Amon Tobin...!

Dernièrement, Monsieur Grandin a présenté sa collaboration avec Toulouse Is Beautiful pour sublimer de sa musique un des lieux incontournable de la région Toulousaine, la basilique Saint Sernin.
Après « The Electric Horseman and the Dancing Movie », sorti au format CD sur Banzaï Lab, Monsieur Grandin opte pour la sortie de son dernier album chez TFTC Records. Un Lp 10 titres avec des collaborations de grande qualité comme le rappeur américain Mattic, connu pour ses nombreuses collaborations avec Wax Tailor ou encore la sublime voix de Nell Mess qui vient adoucir les productions aiguisées de notre artiste.
Toujours dans une même veine, avec un nom qui sonne comme un titre de film : « The Shadow of Plastic Tree », cet album offre une vraie virée cérébrale dans un monde à la fois fantastique, sombre et mystique.
Monsieur Grandin développe un univers onirique, accompagné par des sons orchestraux et des chants doux et enveloppant à l’opposé de l’impression plus froide des premières notes.
On retrouve globalement plus d’énergie dans cet album, comme si le musicien insufflait un dynamisme a son œuvre.
Tout en opposition, ce nouvel opus, surprendra et enchantera les mélomanes en général, mais aussi les amateurs de musique électronique.
