The boys received a cardboard disc for their original version of this downtown, downbeat number. The first Twits version of the track was unleashed here a few years back. This time though, the fellas have upped the tempo a bit, creating a rocky feel. They hope to possibly earn a polystyrene disc with this long-forgotten fans` anti-favourite.

One of the first recordings made at the fledgling Stubby Lane studios.
"Seedless" was considered a possible follow-up to "Santa`s Door", in 2004, but instead, the recording stayed on the shelf, gathering dust and largely forgotten, as the studio went into full swing.
On this track, that original take is given a dusting down, spat at and polished a bit, with new effects and a bass added along with some EQ.
Early studio frequenters, Foster (proprietor), Morgan and Austin are heard here, two were later to become Howdy-Doodys and then  Thursdays, the other, a Scruff Poet.

Johnny B. Goode (Berry) - The Howdy-Doody Twits

Their voices tortured after a hard day in the studio, The Howdy-Doodys warmed down with this cracking version of the surfing song. Ironing board at the ready, one of the Twits is heading to Miami for an undeserved holiday, so hacking the flesh off this song was considered fairly appropriate, but uncalled for.

Apache  (LIVE December 2012)  The Howdy-Doody Twits

The Howdy-Doodys were:  Kevin Nash (guitar), Guy Morgan (drums), Vince Parker (guitar) and Ade Foster (bass guitar).  These four singing boys take their turn to handle either lead or backing vocals. They are four long-time friends who would meet up regularly at the bottom of Ade`s garden, to perform, practice for gigs and record music in the Stubby Lane area of Wolverhampton, West Midlands, England. They say you may find fairies at the bottom of the garden, but here in this garden, you would find four hard-rockers, every Thursday evening. A certain vigour comes across in their live performances, and many of those sessions have been recorded, mixed and can be heard here on this page. In order that the listener may join in with the occasional frivolity accompanying these sessions, band member and erstwhile post-recording producer Guy Morgan has deliberately left in some pre and post-song rambling. Though they have now all gone their separate ways, these sessions capture the essence of the music evenings  that were. All the boys hope that you thoroughly enjoy your listen.
