Al really has been there and done that when it comes to the Disco House sound with over 20 years in the game. His discography is pretty special with critically acclaimed compilations for BBE as well as releases on a who's who of edit labels over the years... Jisco, Kat, Real Thing, Edit, Kojak Giant Sounds and Razor n Tape to name just a few.
We're very excited to get stuck into the legendary diggers mix and hear some of the selections from a man who's spent his life hoarding rare soul and disco records. Dig in!

So a few months ago I managed to get my hands on an original, mint condition Urei 1620 mixer. Unbelievable! If you don't know the history of these, check them out. Amazing sound - the godfather of all DJ mixers pretty much!

Anyway, I decided to mess around and put a mixtape together using strictly vinyl, and an external Pioneer EFX1000 unit. 

It's definitely rough around the edges (no post editing in the studio!), but I hope you catch a vibe from it.... I had fun(k) putting it together.

As a teenager he started to collect Acid Jazz, Soul, Funk, Jazz, Disco & House records at the early 90′s. Soon, in 1994 he began to play music. Since then, his passion for music is expressed by playing in radio shows and many bars & clubs in Greece. In 2012, he was the resident DJ at David Morales M Ultra Lounge Bar in Mykonos. Through the years, he has played with many well-known DJs and Music Producers, among others David Morales, Giorgio Moroder, Eddie C, Rahaan. He also has produced many Guest Mixes, DJ Sets & Tracks for Record Labels (such as OBM Rec. and Melodram Recordings), Radio Stations (Le Rituel - France, TSONYC 'The Sound of New York City' - NYC-USA, Soul-Radio - UK, Mojo Radio -  Greece), Magazines (39 HERZIOS - Spain) and Blogs (AdventuresInDisco - UK). The last years, he is involved fervently with production, especially by editing existing tracks.
