Earlier this year we introduced a new name to the Manual Music label; Prosper Rek, Amsterdam based DJ and producer, Blue Marlin Ibiza and Pleinvrees resident. His debut on our label, 'Ripple EP', got picked up so well that we challenged him to come up with a follow up. And here it is: 'Storytelling EP' with three brand new cuts by the talented artist!

This new EP picks up where Prosper has left things after his previous release. His trademark warm sounds combine seamlessly with the delicately crafted grooves he creates and in everything you hear that he's a DJ as each song is made for maximum dance floor effect.

So go ahead and give these ones ago, we're pretty sure you'll be pleased!

Prosper Rek - Storytelling [snippet]

In February 2017 house music veteran Phonique dropped 'Green Supreme' on his own Ladies and Gentlemen imprint, his fourth studio album which was a collection of 11 exquisitely produced tracks. Since then, there's been a steady stream of killer remixes that have taken the source material in different directions, and now with Green Supreme Remixed, these are gathered together into one package with a handful of new exclusive remixes.

These fresh versions include Tapesh’s rework of 'Reality Check feat. Eddie Fowlkes' - a bumping, groovy and hypnotic take which emphasizes the tracks dominance over the dancefloor. 'Vincent Price feat. LazarusMan' arrives with a Phonique and Malive remix - a stripped down house burner with a killer descending bassline, new-wavey pads and precise drums, accompanying LaruzusMan’s sparse vocals.

Other exclusives include Douglas Greed’s remix of the 'The Price' - a much spacier approach with a shuffling groove and sparkling melodies from the Freude Am Tanzen regular. Elsewhere, one of Green Supreme’s biggest tracks - 'Something To Remember feat. Stee Downes' gets an amazing re-fix by Urmet K - a melancholic slice of tech house with soulful vocals primed for making moments of dancefloors for months to come.

This exclusive joins 4 other versions of 'Something to Remember', including stunning mixes by the likes of Argy, Nvvb, Claus Casper & Jean Philips, and The Unhottest.

'Something Special' - featuring the vocal talents of Ian Whitelaw, was always ripe for reworks - and three bomb-grade versions are featured here. Joining Phonique’s own club mix, Nhan Solo drops a tough Chicago influenced vibe, while The Black 80s flip the script totally to highlight the synth pop roots of the track. Likewise, Sam Shure supplies plenty of tech house magic to keep every floor happy.

Wrapping up this stellar compilation, three mixes of 'Grass is Greener featuring Antonia Vai' also bring the heat - the club mix is joined by refixes by Larse and Kruse & Nürnberg.

All in all - 15 tracks that reinterpret Green Supreme's key moments into a myriad of new directions and shapes.

No matter how musically gifted you are, how long you have been practicing music, how good technician you are, and whether you are a fan of modern technology or analogy, production is your ID card and distinctive feature, especially in times when several thousand singles of various genres appears every week! 
Mr. Jools started his production career in 2012. Entire studio, if a small corner of a bedroom can be called that way, consisted of a desk, two regular and cheap stereo speakers, a couple of pirate plug-ins and a computer. 
Ever since that time, he has made some 30 releases, 8 EPs and countless online compilations! 
Some of the releases are “I Love You More”, EP for Nurvous Records from New York. A track of the same name stood out, and it had been firstly ranked on Nu Disco chart on Traxsource for over a month. It was charted and included in DJ sets of DJs such as Joey Negro, Danny Krivit, Simone Dunmore, Reel People, Mousse T… It was also on top lists of the same shop in TOP 100 Nu Disco songs for 2012 and 2013, and could often be heard on radio stations, such as Chicago.fm, SS Radio in London, Ocean Radio Chilled Uk, Radio6.nl, Purple Music Radio, Zip Fm, Graeme Park Radio Show…
Ep “How It Feels” for Blacksoul Music is interesting because all the tracks from it were on top lists after the release of album! 
Remix “We Remember You” made for Carlos Francisco, also released under the label of Blacksoul Music, was at the first place of Nu Disco chart on Traxsource! Few more releases for Blacksoul Music followed, as well as for Nurvous Records, Gomma Records, SP Recordings, Saigon Records and others.
