So I had this sat in ableton for quite a while now as one of those 'four bar loop on track one, acapella on track two' type deals and thought it might be quick to knock together this evening. Turns out I was wrong as both tracks have meters/rotations, so it took longer that expected.

The good news is it turned out just as terrible as it was initially, so there's that..

Trouble Wrapping - Beastie Boys vs The Waitresses

This is one heavy slab of dirty funk.

The a-side is an absolute BRASS monster of a track titled "Harrow."  A cut that gallops from the first hits of the snare drum to the blaring sounds of horns, ultimately making our aural universe a better place.  The b-side, titled "Nautilus (Hijacked)," is an instrumental cover of sorts, containing recreated hooks from "Nautilus" (Bob James) and "Hijack" (Enoch Light), which were famously sampled by Slick Rick (Children's Story) and The Beatnuts (Watch Out Now) among others.
